Our favourite restaurant was Monsur which is French/Sicilian influence. Loovely to walk around at night. Well lit and quiet in an evening in May after the coached had left. You can walk it all as there are many pedestrian zones. Driving is tricky as the streets are narrow and cars parked on the roads but most streets are one way. We were lucky to be able to park outside our accomodation. The cathedral and the gardens are well worth visiting. You can also walk in Ragusa Superiore for more views of Ibla but we opted to stop on our way home in the car in the car park between Superiore and Ibla. We did many trips out from our base here and enjoyed the evenings walking round town.
First of all, this hotel was excellent, I have been traveling extensively and got my hotel feedback mixed up…. Again, this hotel is great, staff was excellent…. The city was a very pleasant surprise, worth the stop. And you can take day trips to other picturesque towns near by….
Ragusa itself is not so interesting. More intereesting is the attached Ibla. From Ragusa it is a one hour walk downwards. In Ibla, there is a bus conncention back to RAGUSA, which stops in front of the park
It is a beautiful cliff city - really two merged upper and lower towns - with a fascinating history that is closely tied to the two dazzling but somewhat quirky cathedrals that loom over them. There are also at least two easily accessible Michelin star restaurants
Very historical, amazing place to visit and stroll the winding streets and stairways. A real step back in time. Nice cafes and restaurants to choose from, our meals very good quality and fun experience. Very safe and friendly place to visit.
The town is lovely, on a par with Taormina for top ranking. It is a good base for a day vist to Siricuse and one can turn in a car either in Ragusa (not on weekends) or a nearby town. We then took a cab to Pozzallo where we got a ferry to Malta, also a highlight.
Ragusa
I recently travelled around Sicily with 4 friends and we enjoyed our overnight stay in this B&B. The location is very handy for the centre of Ragusa Superiore, with plenty of restaurants & bars nearby - but can also walk a little further to historic Ragusa Ibla. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, and the large breakfast included some delicious home-made items. Communications were easy and they gave us some very good recommendations for restaurants. If I was visiting Ragusa again I would not hesitate to book this B&B.
Ragusa
Its location at the top of the steps from Ibla and downhill from the city, meant we did a lot of walking which we enjoy - but not in the torrential rain we experienced on our last night! Room was spacious and comfortable although towel rails in the bathroom would have been useful. Hosts were really helpful and gave us an early breakfast which was much appreciated. Breakfasts were delightful. Ragusa is an excellent base for visiting towns around - Punta Secca etc but transport on Sunday is difficult.
Ragusa
We were warmly welcomed by Rosita, who helped us carry our bags and went with us to locate a free parking space up the hill. After the first day, we were able to find parking very close to the b & b. The breakfast was served on a beautiful rooftop terrace and there were many food choices for all tastes. The old family house was beautiful and very conveniently located for walkng in Ragusa Ibla. Everything about our stay in Ragusa was wonderful, starting with L'orto sul tetto.
Ragusa
Nice and helpful host, and good location in the very center of Ragusa (mind: it is not in Ragusa Ibla, which is the more known tourist attraction). It is a nice walk to Ragusa Ibla and in the evening, there is a free shuttle. The apartment is not your run-of-the-mill Ikea equipped rental. It is full of flamboyant character. It was too cold to use the terrace, but it sure looked great as a place for one to have nice meals. Very comfortable bed.
Ragusa
Carmela is a great host and loves to care for her guests. Every morning she prepared a special traditional dish for breakfast. Wonderful fresh cheese, tasty sausages, fresh ricotta and fruit, and great caponata. The room was spotless clean, we had a fast working heater in the bathroom - needed it as this seems to be the coldest and most rainy May ever in Sicily. The garden is just great and a relaxing oasis in Ragusa.
lovely hotel in a quiet location in Ragusa superiore. Not a lot of rooms, so it felt really personal. Fabrice on reception is excellent. Good English, I think he said his native language is French and he obviously speaks Italian. Our room had a lovely view out over Ragusa Ibla. No need to set an alarm clock, the church opposite played the most delightful peal of bells at 8am, wish I'd recorded it!
Ragusa
Outstanding air b and b, the best of our trip. A beautiful quiet location close to the old town ( Ragusa Ibla) with a supermarket and restaurants 5 minutes walk.. The host Luca was very welcoming and helpful and gave us a lift to and from the station, but this is also easy to walk (1km). Water, homemade cake on arrival was delicious. Spacious accommodation, great view from balcony. Highly recommended.

We were on our first holiday with our baby and in Ragusa we found our Sicilian home! Massimo and Cornelia are so sweet and will give you everything you need and more! They cooked dinner for us, gave us tons of advice and even took care of our baby while we packed our bags.We were simply overwhelmed by their kindness. If we come back to Sicily we will go straight to Terrazzo su Ibla.
Ragusa
Clean rooms with attractive design (sort of like living in a castle if it was fully modernized), great fresh breakfast to order, hosts are extremely friendly and helpful, very comfortable bed, and a terrific location which is within easy walking distance of all of Ragusa Ibla (the historical center of Ragusa)
Excellent hotel, well-located, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. Great size rooms and great bathrooms. Excellent breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. We spent 2 days/nights at the hotel and these were the best 2 nights of our 8 days in Sicily! Would thoroughly recommend.
Very modern, super clean, great facilities! Marco was super attentive and even found as a parking spot next to the bnb. Location perfect in Ragusa Ibla. Breakfast was very nice with traditional pastries, coffees etc. Would definitely stay again, thank you Marco!
Exceptional place to stay, very comfortable. Exceptional breakfast Free car parking on the road downstairs provided. Access to the property through an elevator. Walking access to the old town, Ragusa Ibla, through the third floor of the hotel.
