We travelled in January. Hotel is in a safe neighborhood. Immediate vicinity is basically just residential buildings, the hotel and the fields, which was quite OK for us, because we came by car. However, even without a car, it is OK, because the hotel is close to Valenzano (around 1 km), so you can walk to train station (ticket to Bari is less than 2 euro), the stores or restaurants. Breakfast was very good and it was included in the rate. There is also a diner possibility, and it is a la carte. Diner menu wasn't too large, but maybe it is because we came during the slow season. The room was very big, clean and comfortable. We had two balconies, one of them with a very nice view. The hotel also has a garage to park your car, but there is also ample parking on the street, and it looked very safe. Valenzano is nice base to go to Bari, but also to explore the rest of the region

Nice, warm, modern and cosy room . The bathroom is outside the room but is not shared. The kind owner provides good coffee and sweets for breackfast. Very clean and affordable.. Valenziano is a lovely place and very good for visit Bari, Alberobello, Monopoli, Polignano a Mare, Ostuni, Lecce and Materra. We'll return .

Valenzano is a small town near Bari (20km from Karol Wojtyła...

Valenzano is a small town near Bari (20km from Karol Wojtyła Airport in Bari), and a good starting point for visiting the Puglia region. We liked the central park of the town, the old buildings, the palm trees, the blossoms on the side of the streets: leander, Californian lilac, and bougainvillea. When it comes to meals, the main inconvenient is that all restaurants are closed from 2 pm to 7,30 pm. We ate at Bistrot Da Carlo, where the owner went out of his way to welcome us even before the opening hours (which we really appreciated, as we were thirsty, hungry, and exhausted from too much walking that day). We recommend their "Frittura di Calamari e Gamberi"(fried seafood), which is absolutely delicious and quite affordable (12 eur), accompanied by the Prosecco wine (15 eur/750 ml bottle). Orechietti - their traditional pasta - is tasty too, and we also liked the antipasti (which are appetizers), the best of which were the fried zucchini (utterly fabulous). The sweets were good, too. Everything was inexpensive at this restaurant (even the "coperto", which is the equivalent of the tips in Italy, was only 1,50 eur/person, while in other restaurants it is 2,50 or 3 eur/person). We didn't find much to do in Valenzano, not even shopping - just two "salumeria" shops from which to buy some traditional cheese and cold cuts.

We used Valenzano as a home base while exploring the region: Polignano a Mare (super crowded beach area in August but rather picturesque), Alberobello (featuring unique conical roof architecture), and Matera (imagine Positano on the Grand Canyon; the adjacent cave housing was occupied from around 7,000 BC through the 1950s).

Our stay was absolutely fantastic, the apartment was modern, clean and had everything we needed for our stay, it is perfect for both a short an long stay. The apartment was located in a very quiet and cozy area, close to restaurants and supermarkets. It was also easily accessible to Bari, making it a perfect base for our stay. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful since before we arrived. Definitely recommended and would stay there again if we come back to Bari and Valenzano!

We were looking for a hotel nearby the airport since we arrived late and did not want to risk any accommodation that would be accessible late hour. This hotel met our expectations. It was older but clean and comfortable. The staff at the reception was very kind and allowed for a later check out. There is a parking space in front of the hotel. Good value for money.

Our stay in Valenzano was fantastic! The house was very clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. The area was peaceful and perfect for relaxing. The host was very welcoming and helped us with all the information we needed about the area. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and cozy place in southern Italy.

The location was great for Valenzano . The room Romantica was spacious enough, even had a small balcony. The place was meticulously clean. The cleaning lady was very friendly . The breakfast was in a local bar 50 meters from the accommodation. Always full with chatting and friendly local people which is always a good sign.
