We booked this hotel due to the proximity to the motorway as we were travelling home from Italy to UK via car with our dog. We arrived quite late but the village looked amazing even at night, there was a little bar over the road so we went for a couple of drinks. Upon arrival the staff were wonderful, the owner was waiting outside to greet us and made a fuss of our dog. The hotel vibe is boutique and quirky ( in a very good way ). The standard of design and decor was beautiful and after a good nights sleep we had a lovely breakfast before heading back on the road. We woke to a beautiful view as the hotel is quite high up in the hills. Highly Recommended.

Location is very good. When you get down from bus you are just in front of the hotel. The surrounding of the hotel is ideal for a nature lover for a hike. All staff are very friendly. On top of all their food is exceptionally good. It’s like homemade Italian food. Yummy yum 😋…. Their 78 year old Italian chef is magnificent and very friendly. Also their pizza is also very delicious….

We got cought to a rainstorm while we were trying to go to San Gimignano on a motorbike with my wife and had to book the closest hotel since we were exhausted, wet and couldn’t continue. It was the beginning of our one week holiday in Italy and it had a very bad start, especially when my wife got sick because of exposure to rain and cold weather. So when we have arrived to Palazzo Loup hotel, we were soaked and in a terrible mode, however as soon as we entered the building and met Barbara, from that moment on it turned out to be an unforgettable memory for us. The most amazing thing in this hotel is its staff. They are polite, helpful and very professional. They went out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as it can be. We got served a special soup although it was not on the menu so that my wife can get better. They drove us to the pharmacy to get medicine. They made sure we are warm and comfortable to get well sooner. Thanks to them, we got on our feet in two days and enjoyed the rest of our journey. If we had been in an another hotel, we wouldn’t recover from the cold and the rest of our trip would be much more difficult. After our two-day stay in Palazzo Loup, it got a special place in our hearts for the rest of our lives. It is one of those places, which has its own character, has its own place in history and its environment, rather than an institutionalized accommodation for tourists. I recommend you to focus on its unique and precious sides rather than some of its shortcomings that relates to its age.

This is a nice hotel on an amazing lake within a beautiful village. The views from the room that I had were very beautiful and authentic. The staff were very friendly and waited for us to arrive late at night. There is a small cafe on the hotel lobby and it feels very cozy. The restaurant is also nice on a balcony with lake view. Definitely worth a second visit!

This place is just fantastic. Lots of space, charming room on the top floor, sun-filled patio to relax after a day's hike, fully-stocked kitchen including coffee, mineral water, beer in the fridge, pasta and sauce... too long to describe. In a class of its own! But the best part was Lucia, our hostess, who went above and beyond our expectations. She let us in really early, allowed late checkout; she was so nice and explained what to see around Monzuno. A charming person. Thank you, Lucia, your place is already a highlight of our trip! Excellent value, too. Would return anytime. Highly recommended.

Stefano was so welcoming and attentive. The house is very charming, well decorated, totally clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was an excellent stay!
