Featuring a wellness center with various swimming pools, a hot tub, and a sauna, Hotel Salus Terme is just outside the center of Viterbo. It has a garden, elegant rooms and a gourmet restaurant. Wonderful SPA hotel with a great variation of indoor and outdoor thermal large pools. Very clean. Great water temperature. the pools' area includes a Sauna and offers a great variation of treatments and very expert masseurs. The hotel also offers a fitness room and some relaxation zones and rooms, with comfortable beds and free fruit tea and fresh apples along the day. We had a very large room with two bathrooms, which was a great bonus (Junior suite). Breakfast is varied, rich and of great quality. We would love having some vegetables daily but received them upon request. The staff is nice and helpful. The hotels offers a very good restaurant in the evenings. Location in vicinity to the town of Viterbo enabled a tour in its old beautiful city. The hotel is just an hour and a half from Rome, so renting a car from the Fiumicino airport and arriving there is very convenient. Very good WiFi connection.

Hotel Benessere Acquarossa is 10 minutes' drive from Viterbo center. It offers luxury extra-large suites with a contemporary design and free WiFi throughout. The room was large and comfortable for our family of four. The staff was very welcoming and had maps and food recommendations on hand. Breakfast was simple and served in a nice clean room opening to the pool area. The property was very lovely and we wished we were staying longer to enjoy the pool. It is a short drive to a number of Hill top towns so a great hotel for day trips.
Set in the center, close to Porta Romana and next to the University of Tuscia, Mini Palace Hotel is ideal for your stay in Viterbo. Nothing special just an in/out stop. parking was ok - hotel was a couple blocks from the one of the main ports in the wall. Good breakfast. Front desk was a little grumpy and officious not pleasant. Would not go back

If you are sturdy, you will enjoy walking here. However, be ware of auto and motorcycle drivers as no sidewalks exist within the walled part of the city. Also, if you enter and leave town by train, remember that the two rail lines to Rome are a 25 minute walk from each other. The national railway has its chief station near Porta San Pietro while the provincially-run railway, Roma Nord, has its station on the opposite end of town. Both stations are outside the walls.
Viterbo is a perfect weekend getaway. The sights are amazing. The town is just perfect for getting lost, lots of little streets, and alleys. The food is excellent. The residents are really friendly. It's a little slice of heaven. The town is filled with medieval history, but then there is modern art to be found. Such a wonderful mixture. Taking a train from Rome is easy. The train station is just a few minutes walking to town.
There is a lot to see and enjoy in the historic city of Viterbo. Just walk among the well-cared for buildings and along the old but lively streets is a pleasure. Many restaurants, great views, easy parking just outside the walls.
Viterbo, especially the old town is a jewel. La Macchina di Santa Rosa is amazing. Viterbo is full of lovely churches and also has lots of history. Getting round Viterbo was very easy, especially as our hotel was very central. There were many good restaurants and the prices were reasonable. The people were also very helpful.
Visiting downtown Viterbo you transform your self into a charming well kept clean town, lots of culture to admire charming streets, beautiful churches. Inside downtown is not a place to drive with a large van or even a small van, parking is a little bit of problem. Solution if staying in the center of town drive drop everything park a few blocks and then enjoy the town, or park outside downtown , drive and park a few blocks away from downtown and walk, either way it is an experience you will never forget. Viterbo is a extremely nice town, you will enjoy it.
A great option for a relaxed weekend filled with very nice historical attractions, architectural jewels of medieval gothics and some outstanding thermal springs to relax ur muscles after a day of sightseeing.

I like the medieval atmosphere and style of the bnb. I fall in love with it when i saw it on the photos. I fall even more when i was already there. And the owner Matteo he was so cool, friendly and helpful. He explained to us everything and every info regarding the procession of the Macchina di Santa Rosa. He was very awesome as if he knows u for a long time. I reccomend this place to everyone who wants to visit Viterbo.

I was particularly impressed by the consistent kindness and friendliness of the staff here, at every level. It was a really well run, decent, traditional typical Italian hotel of an unfussy older type. But the wifi and plumbing worked well. And breakfast was good (traditional i.e., but fresh pasties, etc). I would definitely be pleased to stay here again if I came back to Viterbo.

I had a very pleasant stay here. It is well located, well equipped, very clean and Francesca gave me all the necessary information to move around the city, including good tips on where to eat and the itinerary to make the most of my one day tour in Viterbo. In addition, the B&B is beautifully decorated with oriental furniture, a delicate touch from the owners.

The pool is a very decent size and the hotel is peaceful and quiet. We were a large group attending a wedding nearby and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The BnB has good potential. Having on-site bar facilities for drinks by the pool was great, we especially enjoyed the local wine. The rooms were spacious and cleaned every day.

Located within the walls of Viterbo. Access is restricted and the roads are very narrow, but worth the drive to get to. Valeria Biscetti and her husband are wonderful hosts. He did the room designs. The breakfast under the arbor was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
