It was a wonderful stay. The location ist absolutely stunning. We were able to see wildlife through the window. The river is gorgeous. Staff was very friendly. There was a shuttle bus to and from town.

I was sceptical at first because of the low score, but it was the only accommodation within my budget in this area. And sure, it's no fancy resort like the other places nearby, bit it's quite alright. A bit rundown, sure, but not dirty or broken or anything like that. Also the owners were very friendly and welcoming.

My husband and I stayed for one night and were blown away! The staff are exceptional and go out of their way for your every need. They even sent some breakfast to my room when I wasn't feeling well enough to go to the restaurant for breakfast.

The room is major love ; super spacious, clean and modern. It comes with a stunning view of Lake Akan. Location is good with drug store and convenient store within walking distance.

Amazing onsen resort. The dinner and breakfast buffets were extraordinary with a wide selection of Asian and western food. Everything is well organized and clean. The onsen area is breathtaking. Highly recommended if you're looking for an onsen experience with traditional Japanese rooms.

Amazind dinner a la carte, but the strong point is the breakfast, is buffet with a lot of choices. The room was clean and the private onsen a very gem! Thanks for the staff, they were all extremely friendly even if they didn't speak english

This hotel is simply superb! It is big and spacious. Located in the middle of nowhere, that is in the Akan-Mashu National Park on the shore of the Kussharo Lake, it includes plenty of attractions for guests to stay on its premises. A game arcade, karaoke rooms, a convenience store, wooden chairs in the backyard... It is an easy ride to local lakes and hiking trails. The room was big, modern, well equipped, clean. The majority of staff spoke English, everyone was super kind and helpful. Dinner and breakfast buffets, although pricey, were amaizng, versatile, delicious. We had an amazing stay there.

The holiday home in Higashimokoto offers two bedrooms and a bathroom. Guests enjoy free WiFi and air-conditioning.

Beautiful outdoor onsen, beside the forest under the sky. Unforgettable experience. Staff was helpful and prompt. Came over to help us adjust onsem temperature.
