The service was really outstanding, they made our stay and experience in Koyasan so much better and easier. They picked us up from the closest train station and brought us to Koyasan. They also gave us very good tips to spend there the day, and they were super friendly and kind with us. Additionally both breakfast and dinner were really good.

The area was beutiful with some lovely walks. Great for a relaxing time. The host realy went above and beyond. I don't think there is a walkable shop but the hotel is also a restaurant.

The host is one of the most welcoming person we have met during our trip in Japan. She came to pick us up later than planned at Koyasan, according to our request. She came with her granddaughter and was very curious and open-minded. She prepared us delicious meals (for the dinner and for the breakfast), she is an excellent cook! She speaks a bit English, sufficiently to communicate and share about life and the Japanese culture. We had a wonderful stay at her place!

It was an amazing experience doing shukubo in this amazing temple. The room was great, it had heating (it was so cold outside), yukatas, toothbrush. And it was so beautiful, it really felt like staying at old Japan. We had courtesy tea and sweets, the room had a mini garden you could look at, and it was super spacious and had everything to make you travel in time. And we didn't feel it was expensive. The restrooms were great and the breakfast was nice. An unforgetable experience truly, and Koyasan's a super beautiful place.

The hotel is very well located — just a 2-minute walk from Hashimoto Station. It’s an ideal base for visiting Koya-san, and only about 20 minutes by train to Kudoyama for those planning to hike the Choishi-michi route. There is also a Family Mart in front of the hotel and a very delicious bakery next door. The room was very clean, and I slept incredibly well. The hotel is run by a lovely couple who kindly let me check in early when I arrived to drop off my luggage, as the room was already ready. As a bit of a coffee lover, I also appreciated the nice coffee cup provided — it made my coffee time in the room even more enjoyable. Thank you so much! Next time I want to test the breakfast :)

The hotel is accessible by public transport, about a twenty minutes walk from either of two train stations. Plenty of local places to eat, or a supermarket near by for vegetarian friendly options. It's a good base for day tripping to Koyasan or for the one day hiking pilgrimage from Jisomin Temple. The staff are really thoughtful, the accomodation clean and comfortable, I couldn't fault it really.

exceptional temple, the whole experience is uplifting from the room, the facilities with the onsen, the garden, the meals and the ceremonies the guest can attend, everything amazing. The best part is the evening meditation and the morning chanting plus the wisdom the head monk shared with us. You leave with something changed in your heart and mind, very positive.
