Kaako was a very welcoming and helpful host and her accommodation is beautiful, quiet and cosy, and her dinners and breakfasts delicious. I enjoyed going walking around the village and it is convenient to get to Koyasan.

The area was beutiful with some lovely walks. Great for a relaxing time. The host realy went above and beyond. I don't think there is a walkable shop but the hotel is also a restaurant.

I booked a single room, and it was clean and nicely decorated. The owners are very friendly and speak good English. I had originally said I would arrive at 6-7pm, but was delayed and arrived after 8pm. The owner kindly facilitated this for me but it is a small hotel so it is helpful to be accurate with your arrival time.

Amazing owner, very kind and pleasant, as well as the entire stay. Good choice for those travelling to Koya-san but not staying up there.

- Super clean and tidy - Really comfortable bed/beddings - AC (heating/cooling) - THE LOVELIEST PEOPLE EVER (who go above and beyond for their guests) - Very tasty food at the restaurant - Convenient location (only a couple of minutes away from Konpon Daitō – The Great Pagoda) and easy to get around in general - I booked only 1 night as I was on a tight schedule. Incredible stay. Everyone was incredibly friendly- the lovely gentleman behind reception was so kind and remembered us later in the day so even before we had taken our shoes off had our room key ready. The included dinner and breakfast were delicious. Room was very clean and comfortable. Communal bathroom was clean- you are able to use the shower in the morning during the set times (bath is only in the evening). Location is excellent as only a short walk from the bus stop to the cable car. Would definitely recommend.
