This hotel was delightful. Great location close to the train station, morning market and walking distance to the main town. We paid for a larger room and it was well designed and a great size for two travelers with 3 suitcases - including a separate toilet, shower room and laundry. The lounge upstairs has a great view and is a nice spot to sit down to have a drink and read a book. The onsen is a huge plus. We were there during a blizzard and sitting in the hot outdoor onsen with wind and snow all around was spectacular. Highly recommend!

It's a budget hotel, however it has everything you need, even including breakfast.

Perfect location, great view, clean and tidy with lots of amenities and quite spacious by Japanese standards. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend!

Spotlessly clean business hotel next to Hakodate railway station. Efficient air conditioning. Good breakfast plate (you could choose American or Japanese style) with some extras served in a buffet. They had even croissants!

- perfect breakfast featuring local delights like Hokkaido ice cream, caviar, and sashimi. Many 5-star hotels don’t offer a breakfast as good as this one. - onsen is spacious and offers stunning views, along with pleasant, minty aromas. - room was exceptionally clean, even by my OCD standards. overall loved the hotel and would definitely return

The view and the location are great.

We had an amazing time staying at HakoBA. We stayed in a private room on the dock side. The room was super cozy and comfy. All the amenities are very clean. The kitchen is AMAZING if you like to cook. The location couldn’t be better. The staff is incredible! The reception staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We truly felt welcome and at home. On top of it all, the design of the hotel is gorgeous. As someone who write about architecture and design, staying there was a delight.

Location is amazing. Right next to Hakodate station. 10 mins walk (in the winter) to the seafood market. Room was spacious, we booked a family room and it was very comfortable for 4 adults to stay. There is a big Onsen area for male/ female (separate) and it was great for us as the room only has one bathroom/ shower room. There are a few restaurants and convenient stores right next to the hotel. Strongly recommend and will stay here again!!

Very pleasant stay at this spa hotel. I enjoyed the onsen facilities. The booking came with included breakfast and dinner, which were both buffet style. It had a outstanding selection of sashimi and sushi, plus local specialties, like soup kare or filled squid! Easy reach for the sights of Hakodate- I took the tram, whi h wss frequent and convenient. Do not miss booking a massage at the spa, the gentleman who works there has hands made of gold!

The breakfast was amazing. Great Bath as well. Staff were friendly and polite and it was in a good location. Very good price too.

Amazing staff. Helpful and friendly. Loved the brekkie - super generous and good. Loved location. (I like firm beds and the beds here were defo firm). Loved the public bath.

Amazing hotel, the room is large and japanese style and the cummon areas are beauty and clean.

1) Excellent location - very near Hakodate JR Station, opposite Hakodate Morning Market, lots of food options nearby 2) Very friendly staff 3) There's also a lift in the property 4) Cleaning staff will replenish the essentials (via a plastic bag hanging OUTSIDE your doorknob) even if you put the "do not disturb" tag. Overall, had an excellent stay here :) Thank you to all the Hotel New Ote staff!
