Located just a 10-minute drive from Happo One ski slopes, Reposer Hakuba offers cozy and rustic private rooms in a large log cabin. The mountain view from the window. The log cabin gives the guests a very comfortable and warm atmosphere. The staff is very friendly who provides pick up and drop off shuttle bus service between JR station and the bus terminal. The surrounding environment is really fantabulous. I would like to stay at this hotel again when I have a chance to visit Hakuba in winter. The hosts also give us a lot of information about exploring the area. They are really kind and helpful.

First of all, Taka the owner goes ABOVE AND BEYOND. He is so friendly and helpful, picked me up from the bus terminal, drove me to dinner one night, and has made our stay very cozy. 2 other amazing things: (1) the breakfast is INCREDIBLE and fantastic value and (2) the onsen is also INCREDIBLE and private. I 100% would recommend this place to anyone and want to come back myself.

Front desk woman, I don’t recall her name but she made our trip most pleasant. She was so nice and welcoming, we enjoyed our stay more so due to customer service such as hers. She made our stay pleasant and always had a smile and made sure our family had a good day and experience.
Well established for tourism. Variety of eateries. Easy to navigate around. Shiromou So is exceptionally good as accommodation for a traditional japanese experience including hot springs on site. Plenty of solid japanese eateries that kept me happy. I don't ski and happily walked for hours in the town skirting the mountains.
Great powder snow when I was there and Hakuba 47 is such a great option for snowboarders. The others in the area such as Happo One are also good resorts/pistes, but Hakuba 47 is a snowboarders dream with lots of wide, flowing pistes, lovely snow, a snowpark with half pipe, and lots of lightly wooded forest areas where you are permitted to go off-piste into the powder without fear of losing your liftpass. An amazing place for anyone who loves snowboarding!
Admittedly it never snowed but did rain over 9 days so skiing was poor. However I found the accommodation even late Feb/early March overpriced (A$320 per night for a double with breakfast, 3 star rating). After Hakuba went to Myoko and loved it. Better snow and similar accommodation for A$180 per night. Much better value than Hakuba.
Hakuba was perfect for my first snow holiday to Japan. I would replicate my holiday in a flash - wouldn't change a thing. My friend and I booked the private shuttle to Hakuba from Narita Airport which cost a little bit extra but was well worth it. We had one 20 min stop and were delivered to the door of our hotel by 11pm. Apparently the public shuttle bus arrived in a 4am which sounds horrible after a 8hr flight. We stayed at Hakuba Alpine Hotel which was perfect for our needs. Can't fault the property, location or the staff. Traditional Japanese breakfasts and dinners were outstanding - tasty and full of protein. The onsen at the hotel was incredible at the end of the day for muscle recovery - make sure your accomm has one of these - you will not regret it! Our hotel was a 3 min walk from Happo bus terminal which is where all the shuttle buses depart from so very handy. Rhythm Sports were great for gear hire. We called them up and they came and picked us up so we could sort out our gear and on the day we departed we called to let them know and they came and collected it that night. Evergreen Ski School wes excellent - they have a shuttle bus too which is great. We even got dropped off to our doorstep a few times which was much appreciated at the end of the day! The instructors were fantastic as were all the other staff I dealt with. Roots Cafe is bloody awesome - I had lunch there 3 times in my stay. Great hearty vego food. Fantastic holiday :)
We came a long way for fresh snow and it was over a week of crap snow and rain. Win some, lose some but there are way better places that are guaranteed good powder for snowboarding. Taxis were waaaaay too expensive and food was just average. I’ll stick with Hokkaido.
Setting is beautiful in amongst a forest. Rooms are on the basic side but comfortable. The dinners and breakfasts were amazing. Koki is a trained chef and every meal was delicious. Family atmosphere. Both he and his wife looked after us very well. They were friendy, helpful and didn't mind dropping us off here and there. I did my back in while l was there pulling on my ski boots and they provided ice packs and offered to take me to a medical clinic for treatment. Goryu has a lovely vibe. I liked it much better than Happo One.
Breakfast included! Selection of food was simple but very good. Had a proper coffee machine and the staff made amazing coffee to order for a little bit extra. Location was fantastic too! Just a 5 minute walk to echoland (shops and food places) as well as 3 snow shuttle stops within 100m of the accommodation. 2 particular staff members, Kristopher and Martin were absolutely outstanding. Going out of their way to help us make our journey to and from Hakuba as comfortable as possible. Thankyou.
We had an amazing trip to Hakuba and stayed at the Funny Inn for 6 nights. Mayumi and Hide were excellent hosts. The breakfast they made each morning was delicious and it made for a great start to some epic ski days! They were so helpful in figuring out how to get to the different mountains and also helped with dinner reservations. Their ski warming room for boots and gear was so amazing and helped dry our stuff each day. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to Hakuba.
Thank you to our lovely hosts who made the hotel feel like home. They were always smiling and very welcoming. We had breakfast and dinner at the property which was a mixture of western and local foods and both times delicious. Within walking distance to Echoland and a short walk to Happo One, if you didn’t want to use the free shuttle service. Free shuttle bus stop out the front for other parts of hakuba. Lift tickets available at front desk
The hotel is cozy, has thoughtful facilities (a drying room and laundry machines), a traditional Japanese onsen / bath. The room had a great view of the mountains and the Olympic ski jumping hill. The Happo One ski resort is a few ski pole pushes away - almost a ski in / ski out situation. The hotel offers a reliable shuttle service to town, and it is an official stop for other service providers.
This is by far the best place we’ve stayed at in the Japanese Alps ski resorts. Eric and Fumie made our stay exceptional. They are very welcoming and make sure their guests enjoy every moment of their experience in Hakuba, driving us to ski resorts, booking restaurants or cooking great breakfast and diner. Plus the lodge is very cosy, with comfortable rooms, large beds, a big fireplace...
Great place to stay The japanes cuple running the lodge was relly frindly and always trying to help guests out whit everything from ski rentals to resort info Always happy to shaare ther local knowledge of japan and hakuba Great to stay in a place not runn by a bunch of Austrian volenters in hakuba for once.
The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel is located a short way from the Happo One Gondola (generally a shuttle ride rather than a walk - but not a problem as the hotel runs lots of shuttle to Happo One and other nearby resorts). The food in the restaurant is good, and there is a bar.
Absolutely lovely place that’s very near to Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort. It’s ski-in-ski-out facilities to store and dry your ski/snowboarding gears, indoor and outdoor onsen. The owner also shows you some nice restaurants around which are also within walkable distance. The room is spacious and comfortable.
-Great friendly staff which are more than happy to help with any questions about hakuba. -Awesome breakfast. - Great location Bus stop (Bears cafe) 2 mins walk away for access to ski slopes and happo one bus terminal. - Lots of cafes and places to eat 2 min walk - Rooms are overall very good.
This hostel is near Hakuba Goryu and 47, only 10mins walk uphill. Equipment can be stored and dried inside the drying room in hostel. Rental equipment is available around ski resort. Some nearby restaurant are surprisingly good. Onsen discount is available and the onsen is fantastic!
Location, very close to hakuba Station..love the atmosphere of this guest house. Overall it was great, love the hospitality by the guest house's staff explaining us briefly regarding ski resorts etc. And of course a bit chit chat with other guests.
The hotel was in an amazing location next to the happo one lift , They had a free shuttle which would take you anywhere you wanted to go .. and the staff were super freindly and helpfull
Many supports and warm hospitality from the hotel members. They provide transportation to support us during the stay. The best service hotel from this time Japan trip.
The breakfasts were great, the beds were comfy and the staff was very helpful. We enjoyed our time at Hakuba House. The family room was perfect for the 4th of us.
Onsen. Bus shuttles to slopes and supermarket. Price was amazing for Hakuba. Breakfast was included. Pick up from Happo One Bus terminal on arrival. Loved it all
Very quiet place in the forest, Japanese flavor with a French host, a nice combination ! Olivier knows all the off pist places in Hakuba, nice plan for riders!
The onsens were beautiful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Very close to the ski resorts. Decent for a 3 star hotel.
Only hotel available in Hakuba when we went to book
It was so quite , clearly, I like the hotel. And the bed is comfortable , room has a fine lighting, I got a lot of relax. And the location is so near to Gondola. The named Hakuba is so fantasy. The night like a dream in my life.
