The hotel is not large nor particularly luxurious, but it exudes a refined quality. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. The bathhouse — in terms of space, view, and water quality — is truly enjoyable. In the evening, we unexpectedly heard the okami (proprietress) share her personal experience with this hotel during the 3/11 tsunami, which was deeply moving. It gave us a deeper understanding of that disaster and became an unexpected highlight of our trip. We would love to visit again if we have the chance.

I stayed longer than I intended. The little town radiates peacefullness. And so does this guesthouse. I felt so comfortable and respected here. I was so perfectly treated I just wanted to stay longer. I actually did. And I want to go back. Live at the end of the world again, feel that small measure of peace again.

The friendly staff were very patient with my clumsy Japanese. It was a special bonus to find an onsen style bathhouse on site. It was a really good one. The hotel is well situated near some large shops and lots of places to eat. My favourite was a barbecue at your table place. I had good beef plus a salad twice. Very tasty. It is near the Kanow, this restaurant. It was well located near the BRT station and the very helpful information office. Ofunato station. This location provided an excellent gateway to the beautiful Goishi Coast.  Without a car, there is a a local bus that takes only 30 minutes. But the last bus back to the hotel is at 2 pm. Take your walking shoes with you. All the trails are good, and there is also a coastal Trail to the famous Anotoshi iso rock formation. At Goishi beach you can have a seafood bowl while looking out the ocean.

If you travel and you forgot daily toilet tools, Like tooth brush, etc. No Problem the hotel offer everything and nearly everything for free. If you want a cafe, No Problem for free in the Lobby, nothing I could think off you would not get. Personal was so caring, specially as in my visit time was an earthquake of mag. 7.7 with Tsunami warning. They gave me a good Feeling and calm down the situation even when after shock arrived. Perfekt employees, thanks so much. Very fast internet.
