The hotel is located close to the conference center at Ise, just 5 minutes walk. It is very silent and organized, and the onsen baths are great. The breakfast was everyday a nice surprise to have, so I definitively recommend.

Strongly recommend this hotel for everyone who plan to visit Ise. First the staffs were very approachable, kind and friendly. Second, I love how they collaborated with local artists and businesses to provide us a unique and comfortable stay experience - from their lovely scents for shampoo&shower gel, to different artworks displayed in every room. Cleanliness is top grade without saying. I also love how they have made videos (with eng subs) introducing many delicious restaurants near their hotel, save me so much time to look for a proper place for foods.

Ise has 2 of the most important Shinto shrines in Japan, a recreated historical shopping street, Okage-Yokocho, and an original old warehouse neighborhood, Kawasaki-cho. The bus system makes it easy to travel around the city. There are also many rental e-bike stations around the city. Many shops and hotels around the main tourist areas speak English if needed, and I have found the public-facing staff to be very friendly in general.

Compared to bigger cities in Japan, Ise is very car-oriented...

Compared to bigger cities in Japan, Ise is very car-oriented and the trains and buses are rather infrequent. So knowing when the buses are coming and also planning to arrive early so you don't have to wait for multiple cycles of the bus is helpful. Most people who visit Ise are Japanese as it's a place with significance to Shinto, the native religion of Japan. I'm not Japanese but I have studied Japanese and can speak, understand, and read Japanese okay, but if I couldn't I would've had a lot of trouble getting around as there's very little English written. Otherwise, I felt that the town was very nice, I walked along the beach on the coast with the Married Rocks, and it was a beautiful view.

Ise shine plays a significant role in the Japan history.

Ise shine plays a significant role in the Japan history. The visiting helps me to understand the Japan history better. The married rock park is unique and beautiful with nice mixture of human structure and nature. The seafood there is delicious.

My interest is nature and Shrine.

My interest is nature and Shrine. For more nature experience a car would be helpful. The most meaningful Shrines of Japan: Naiku - Kōtaijingu and Geku - Toyo'uke-Daijingu. If you want and like to feel the spirit of Japan, this is the right place, but don't expect anything spectacular. Toba is another atmosphere, the feeling of the sea and sea people.

We loved our trip here.

We loved our trip here. Little did I know, I seem to enjoy travelling in a pretty laid-back city and Ise was just perfect for that. If you're craving for a small city experience, out from the other international travelers, I'd recommend Ise for sure.

I visited Ise to see and experience Ise Grand Shrine. I am interested in the mythology about Japanese shrines and also in the Imperial Family system. My parents visited Ise when they were young and I wanted to do the same trip.

Decent business hotel in a good location, less than 3 minutes walk from the Iseshi train station which is just opposite. Rooms are well-maintained and fresh, with good showers. Hotel staff are professional, some speak and understand English but are otherwise patient with translation apps. Breakfast spread is small but decent. Otherwise, there are many eateries/ restaurants serving good food around the hotel. Family Mart convenience store nearby, 5 minutes walk away.

I love everything about this guesthouse. The owner put great thoughts and efforts into renovating the traditional house. The place is clean, spacious with a lot of places for guests to interact, read books, and enjoy slow travel in Ise. Interior was really cute, and the staff was absolutely helpful!
