We loved everything about this hotel. The food was delicious, the room and view were amazing, the amenities were incredible, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't use most of it but there were so many toiletries provided in our room. One of our kids was sad and cried a lot during our stay but everyone was patient and friendly. I also appreciated how accessible it was. There were hardly any steps into the room, which made it easy for the wheelchair user in our family. (For other wheelchair users: there were however a few steps to get in and out of the public bath that make it less accessible than the rest of the hotel. There were chairs in the public bath for people who can't sit on stools). We stayed two nights and wished we could stay longer and explore more of the surrounding area.

Good location and cheap. I was on a cycling trip and didn’t want to have to travel farther than Sounkyo Onsen. All the nicer hotels were booked. So I booked here but then paid for a day pass to use the Onsen at one of the nicer hotels. Room was comfortable and had a nice view of the River. Room was spacious. Staff was nice.

Breakfast was great. Location was ideal, close to transport, access to cable car, hiking, & restaurants. I very much enjoyed the outdoor spa with the mountain views, a beautiful setting to enjoy the hot springs! Both outdoor & indoor spas were very clean & well organized with lockers.
