We fell in love with the house and the little town of Ikuno. The house was big and spacious for three people, also we enjoyed the kotatsu and the bathtub the most. The kitchen was also well equipped and the owner very responsive and friendly!

Also the underfloor heating of the wooden floors means it's the best location for cold weather touring. We stayed for just about two weeks, while we visited a family member living in the area. During our stay, the service from the entire staff was wonderful. We especially appreciated their patience with us as we navigated communicating with them by using apps, etc. Our room was very well equipped - it was small, but we expected that so it was no problem whatsoever. The facilities (our room, common areas, dining area) were very well maintained and very clean. The breakfast included many options, both Japanese and Western food, and was consistently prepared and delicious! The walk to the train station is about 10 minutes, easy to navigate, so from our perspective the location was excellent.
