If you are a ski lover or first timer, Niseko is definitely a place to explore. Lovely weather, great people and very convenient to move around the town. If you can't speak Japanese, you don't have to worry a thing. Majority of the people (e.g: ski instructors, collection of equipments and etc) are all foreigners! You will find yourselves in a very English speaking environment more than anything else. Outdoor onset is a MUST try!
Fantastic and beautiful place to visit. Great for snowboarding and skiing. Good ski school for kids. Prices for lift tickets are very good and priced where they should be. Other ski resorts around the world are ridiculously expensive. Good bus services and very timely. Great for whole family. A bit limited with rental options and a bit of attitude from staff because of this. Lots of glorious snow! We will be back next year!
Niseko was amazing. It didn't stop snowing until our last day. Huge range of eating options. It's easy to get around because of the shuttles from hotels. Careful planning of the bus to the airport is necessary - ours was 50 mins late getting there and we had to rush to the plane.
Snow was great and lift prices and ski gear hire very reasonable. Went out to Kabuki, Burger Boss and Sessa for dinners and all were great. Easy shuttle buses and local buses to get you to and from your lodgings.
Good powder although sometimes you had to wait to get there. Several places to eat as long as the bus got you there other wise slightly stuck to the resort you were staying in. Easy to get round on the bus.
Food was very expensive and limited however we travelled at the end of the season so this may have attributed to that. Great variety in mountains to choose from. NBS made gear hire smooth. Great place for beginners! Definitely recommend a lesson if you are learning. Was pricey but well worth it and added to our skills on the slopes! Must visit Niseko pizza and bar Gyu.. look for the hidden door that looks like a fridge! Freddys bar is good for a unique experience and a meat fest! Milk Kobo has the famous Hokkaido cheese tarts.. a MUST!!!! The Vale is easy location straight off the Grand Hirafu and does belly warming hot cocktails.. happy hour 3-5!
Niseko
Beautiful location, easy drive (about 5 mins) to Grand Hirafu for ski/snowboarding. It was the perfect winter holiday to spend in Japan. I particularly loved the huge space, the Onsen that came with my property and the convenient location to the shops in Niseko. Would definitely highly recommend this property (will come back again!)
The staff were kind and welcoming, particularly Mr. Taro, who was extremely professional and made sure to attend to our needs. The room was clean and spacious equipped with a kitchen, which isn't something normally seen in hotels in Japan. The balcony with a nice overlooking view was also a plus.
Everything. The facilities, location, view and very helpful staff.
