We had an amazing stay in Komatagawa bungalow. The place is wonderful, near a lovely river, hidden in the forest. The accomodations were great : the bungalow in itself is very clean, as the bathroom and the toilets. There is a kitchen very well equiped. If you want an immersion in japanese wonderful nature you are in the right place !

Typical Japanese guest house in Chikatsu. The guest is extraordinary, the dinner was really tasty and authentic. House is large with plenty of space, even for the kids to play. The guest offers games, beers (!!!!), and all that is needed for those trekking the kumano kodo. Even a super massage chair! Truly recommended

The house is absolutely spectacular and I recommend brining food and cooking dinner/breakfast there. It was extremely peaceful and great for big groups/families. The host was extremely friendly and checked in on us.

I had a very pleasant stay at Toit Vert while walking the Kumano Kodo. The accommodation is perfectly located, close to restaurants and supermarkets, which makes it a very convenient place to stay during the pilgrimage. Everything was very clean and well organized, and the facilities were excellent. I especially appreciated that guests could wash their clothes free of charge, which is very helpful when you are walking the Kumano Kodo. The owners were extremely kind and helpful, always making sure everything was easy and comfortable. They were very attentive and happy to assist whenever needed. They also offer a complimentary breakfast, which was very nice and a great way to start the day before walking. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are doing the Kumano Kodo.

The host went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay: from the dinner with other guests full of surprises (viper whiskey and incredibly tasty chicken sashimi, to name a few) to the care for details of the minshuku, we can’t recommend this place enough!

What a beautiful house. We felt privileged to be able to stay there. Such a welcoming helpful host. The shower was excellent, just what we needed, and having the Coop literally across the street was so convenient. Everything we needed was provided, including a very welcome washing machine.
