On just a 5-minute walk from JR Sendai Station, Sendai Kokusai Hotel features 4 restaurants, 2 cafe-bars and a beauty salon. The hotel is roughly 10 minutes away from Sendai Station. Away from the busy area so was very quiet at night, but also close enough to tons of restaurants and the Sendai morning market. Across the street was FamilyMart - loved it! The room was small for twin beds but it had all the amenities like a resort hotel. The bathroom had everything you need, including a Panasonic ionic hairdryer. We were very amazed by the attention to detail. The room also came with an air purifier and humidifier which is definitely a plus. TV was about the size of a PC monitor. Check in was very easy - they now use automated machines to check in/out.

The Westin Sendai, Hotel Grand Bach Sendai, and Hotel Metropolitan Sendai East got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Sendai.
Sendai is a wonderful city, with lots of bars and small clubs with several eateries nearby. The people are friendly and helpful if you are lost. I recommend the planetarium and the only place I did not enjoy the was guitar bar, the owner did not seem friendly at all (very surprising about Japan) also it was a bit overpriced, but check it out anyway. I did enjoy a piano bar that was near and the owner was very cheerful and the price was just right.
A nice city that has civilization + nature. If you wanted to visit Japan, Sendai is a good choice when you want to avoid the busy Tokyo. The food is nice and prepare to get sick of gyuu tan as you can find it all around. I would recommend Akiu area for 1 day trip. It is only 30 minutes from Sendai by bus, and there are not so many people. You can enjoy the autumn and onsen there.
If you like Japanese history, particularly Date Masamune, then this is the place. You’ll be extra satisfied. You must must must eat gyutan and zunda shake when you’re here, do not forget to go to Matsushima to catch some sunset too. Next time I hope I can go to Akiu!
There was many places with good food. All the foot bridges by Sendai station made the place seem futuristic in a way. It was easy to get around and the city was pretty big. It'd take a couple days to explore. Its also close to Mastushima bay, a must go sightseeing place.
The biggest city in Tohoku, Sendai is a great place to experience the lights and the feel of a big city in Japan, without the hustle and bustle of a ton of people. There is a Pokemon Center, along with a Studio Ghibli store all within walking distance of the main train station. There is a ton of shopping and sights to see as well. It is also a great place for history lovers, filled with awesome museums and historical sites to see. It is a unique place to go as it is not only very pedestrian friendly, but also car friendly with lots of paid parking lots to use in the vicinity of the heart of the city. The Zunda Shake (edamame shake) is a neat treat to get at Sendai Station.
The Loople bus is very worthwhile . We stopped at the Zuihoden mausoleum , the site of Sendai castle and the Osaki-hachimangu shrine. It is well worth catching the train to Matsushima-Machi. There is a lot to see there- a ferry trip around the islands, Fukuura island, Zuiganji temple, Godaido Hall. Food is great everywhere.
➕ Good location, walking distance to Sendai station; a convenience store is right near the hotel ➕ The room was nice, clean, with good soundproofing, a window that can be opened for ventilation and enough space to open a suitcase; wi-fi connection was good in the room as well. ➕ The hotel has a coin laundry corner. ➕ No issues when conversing with the staff even in English. ➕ The breakfast was very good, with good variety. ➕ The price for the stay was quite affordable.
Amenities were great, the room was clean and spacious and felt quite luxurious for the price point. There were also plenty of power sockets available and even a bedside one, which is rather uncommon in many hotels. Bathroom was amazing, bathtub is much bigger than most hotels in Japan.
This hotel is in a really great location right by Sendai train station and close to restaurants and shops . The decor of the hotel was very nice and new and the staff were very friendly and professional. We had a fantastic time there!
The hotel is relatively new, directly connected to Sendai Station, modern hotel, clean room and has good amenities. It also has a lounge room for guests to use, very handy if you want to relax and have a coffee.
The breakfast was great. We love how you prepared for COVID 19 for breakfast time. The location is great and has a lot shops we like to shop at. We enjoy our stay every time we use Sendai Comfort West.
Area was great for a night out. Had many great restaurants to choose from in walking distance. Rooms were clean the shower is the best. This is my third time using this hotel and it just gets better.
Great hotel, east to find from the Rail station. We were on the top floor with a magnificent view. We were only transiting through sendai so we're on there overnight. I would recommend.
Great location near Sendai Station. Stayed here for 5 nights while travelling in the southern Tohoku region, and this hotel was great value for money. Coin laundry was also useful!
The hotel is located at the city center. Zero minutes for shopping and eating. Breakfast is also good. You can have Zunda-mochi, special sweets in Sendai.
Hotel location is very close to Sendai station with 3 minutes walking. We left our luggage for 2 days when went to other city without extra charge.
This is a a basic hotel with a great location in central Sendai very near the train station. It is easy to walk to shopping and dining areas.
Nice location, It's near the Sendai station, located in street food. The Hotel is clean.
spacious and classic hotel room ambiance, proximity to restaurants and Sendai’s center.
The hotel is closed to local market and Sendai station.
The hotel was next to everything like restaurants and convenience stores. I got the triple room and was very spacious. There was room for my large luggage and stroller and there was still room to walk comfortably in the room. There is a fridge and a hot water kettle for the the complimentary tea. There was A/C and worked very well, especially when it was hot outside. It would get really cold during the night. Blankets kept my warm. Beds were firm and the pillows were good. Very clean room. Breakfast was ok. Due to COVID, the dishes were individually wrapped. The food was almost warm but not hot. Dishes were mostly Japanese style. Only western dish was the sausage and scrambled eggs. The bread was good. The staff was very friendly!
Sendai
Breakfast,It's so tasty and various. Altought location is a bit far from center because it's near good view good natural background. (And It has shuttle bus for fix this problem.) It's match with you if you want to long stay for relax but it's not for sighseeing other travel point.
Very kind staff. They understood my situation about changing dates and managing the reservation and they allowed us to make it as we wanted Also, they had handy, a phone that we could use everywhere. However, there’s no clear info regarding that and we didn’t use them at all
Hotel is near Train Station, super comfortable with big bed and room that I ever had in Japan. Unfortunately we didn’t try their breakfast. Public Bath is excellent, blowing my tried. I definitely stay here again and again when I visit Sendai. Worth for money!
Parking was only ¥600 on site. The rooms were clean and tidy. The language barrier was easily overcome and they helped us no problem.
