There were a lot of beautiful cafes and some very popular food shops that had long lines so I recommend getting to some places early. The historic village is super cute, but make sure to look out for people on electric scooters. The museum is fantastic and I would recommend planning out a longer time setting for that since it is spread out over a couple buildings. In general I think Gyeongju is a great place for wandering, but if you're walking around make sure to take breaks as a lot of stuff is spread out.
This city (and the nearby region) is the most historically rich location in South Korea. The best time to visit in on the weekdays since this area is very popular for Koreans, so it gets very crowded on weekends.
The ‘Golden City’ is a must see with a visit to the museum. It is within walking distance (20mins) Take a bus to the Bulguksa temple, you won’t be disappointed. There are plenty of places to eat closeby.
Gyeongju is a historic city and there are so many ancient buildings to be visited. Especially, it is nearby Daegu, we will go there together if we are planning a trip. Moreover, we got so many free tickets to visit historic sites because they are celebrating their Holiday from the beginning of December until the end. We had a great time there.
Many attractions to visit If you go to Gyeongju for just one or two days and want to see all attractions you may consider to rent a car as temple are far from the city. Otherwise you need to take buses and it takes time
Beautiful city reminiscent of Japan with the pagodas and bright temples. Enjoy a walk around the lake (6.5km), check out the huge tombs, visit temples and the pagoda, view the bridge illuminated at night, stop by the observatory. Great location to spend two nights. If I had gone hiking, I would’ve added an additional day.
