Surrounded by countryside, this youth hostel offers breakfast buffets and wonderful mountain views. It lies between Schaan and Vaduz, a 5-minute drive from the Swiss border and the A13 motorway. Excelente atención y predisposición de todo el personal. Me guiaron en todas mis salidas, realmente muy amables! Las instalaciones impecables. El desayuno exquisito, y muy completo! Totalmente recomendable.
The 4-star-Superior Park-Hotel Sonnenhof in Vaduz features an award-wining gourmet restaurant and a private park with panoramic views of the Alps, the Rhine Valley, Vaduz Castle, and the nearby... This place is amazing! The most beautiful garden&view. Thank you!
Only 200 metres from the Buchs Train Station and the main shopping street, the family-run Hotel Buchserhof enjoys a central location. It offers modern, en-suite rooms with a flat-screen TV. Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to the train station and to the main shopping area. There was a nice terrace where we could eat breakfast, and have a drink in the evening.
Dating from 1380, this historic 4-star hotel is set amidst vineyards in Liechtenstein’s capital city of Vaduz. The centre is just a 3-minute walk away. Free Wi-Fi is available. Hotel Gastof Lowen is a real gem of a hotel, the owner and all of the staff are really friendly and provide a first class service. The location and facilities are excellent, food is wonderful and the bar a pleasant place to relax, interact with the local community and learn about the unique history Liechtenstein.

Huge, perfectly clean room with huge bathroom, very comfortable bed, rich breakfasts, kind and smiling crew, perfect location at the centre od Vaduz, free parking space for guests and so much more... Definitely worth the price!
Set in Buchs, 3 Room Premium Apartment Buchs SG offers accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. Nice clean apartment in family friendly neighbourhood for 2 couples and up to 6. Good launch point to enjoy Werdenberg and regional attractions- come winter or summer. Perfect for anyone doing leg 7 of the Grand Tour of Switzerland circuit.
Nothing was open. There's no city center that we could find, and everything was deserted. We looked all over for a cafe or ice cream place but found nothing. We really wanted a souvenir shop for Liechtenstein stickers and postcards... Found nothing at all.
Liechtenstein is small but perfectly formed. You can cycle along the Rhine from one end of the country and back to the other in a day along a flat route, but there is also great mountain biking, hiking and skiing in winter. The local bus network is very extensive and the Tageskarte can get you anywhere in the country with ease. It's worth going up to Malbun, the ski resort, even in summer, when you can see the marmottes and maybe see eagles too. It's a modern country but there are historic buildings. Sadly, you can't get inside either Schloss Vaduz or Schloss Gutenburg.
I came mainly to watch our girls’ volleyball team to play in EU championship of small countries, however had a chance to explore a bit and the place is beautiful; you won’t find any souvenir shop here though, apparently there are some shops in nearby Vaduz. Many opportunities for hiking (easy walk up to Vaduz castle, but prince of Liechtenstein doesn’t want to be disturbed 😊)cycling, roller skating... Although the food is nice, Eating out is very expensive in Liechtenstein.
It is great for hiking and mountain biking, cycling etc. The mountain trails are quite accessible and very well maintained. The public transport between Schaan and Vaduz isn't the most efficient, all buses leave at the same time so if you miss one you miss all of the connections and need to wait for the next round. Some of the buses that go to higher places must be called for in advance. But if you don't miss the first connecting bus then you can get to your destination ok!
I went hiking up the mountain, which was great, so beautiful. Everything is close together, so if you are willing to walk a bit you can get everywhere really easily. The castle on the hill is like a fairy tale. The local beer is a great thing to order at a bar or restaurant, reasonable price and high quality. The food at restaurants is really expensive so I went to grocery stores. For solo travelers I would recommend enjoying the peace there, the country is small and you can get away from the crowded tourist areas really easily. Find a hiking trail or a walking trail (there are literally hundreds) and just go exploring. You cannot get too lost, so just go somewhere, anywhere and enjoy the beauty and serenity.
Schaan and Vaduz are small cities that are easy to walk around. Buses run all over Liechtenstein from here. There are some great museums, archaeological sites, vineyards in the middle of town. Really great for hiking/cycling in the mountains. Scenic splendours (when the clouds go away). Downside, nearly everything shuts by 5pm Saturday until Monday. If you need supplies for the weekend, make sure you get them early. On Sunday, only a few cafes in the centre of Vaduz are open.

Liechtenstein is not a cheap place to visit. The hostel is also not cheap but it is well run. They offered dinner each night for extra money but the breakfast was satisfactory and was included in the price.
