Beautiful house with amazing scenic views. Comfortable rooms with cushy beds and visually appealing decoration. In-house food service was terrific and the staff was incredibly pleasant. Highly recommend.

Highgrove Estate is a fabulous house with an incredible view. The location is only twenty minutes from Nuwara Eliya centre. The food was great 👍 but the staff was even better. Great service and place to stay at. This beautiful house contains three bedrooms, and the good thing about it is that each reservation is considered individually private . So we are lucky to have this house for our own. Special thanks to Mr Johnson and his crew and the superb team and the chef who made a delicious food 😋

Everything is perfect, the room is excellent. The best is very good. Nice bathroom. Good size. The staff is AMAZING! They are the best. Support all the time. If you stayed there you get 20% discount in the best restaurant in town. They offered a tuk tuk driver named chandi to pick us up in the train station. He is the best tuk tuk driver and tour guide in town. Strongly recommend to do a tour with chandi. Also the breakfast is great at the property.

We stayed at this lovely hotel during December 2025. That evening we were the only guests in the wonderful boutique hotel. The wonderful and incredibly friendly staff did everything to make us feel comfortable and cozy. With a heated pool and a room with a jacuzzi, a wonderful dinner and a delicious and satisfying breakfast in the hotel garden, facing the mountain view and the horse track, we felt really great! . Highly recommended!

We only spent one night at Cottage San Francesco, but it was enough to make it one of the best places we have stayed in Sri Lanka. The room is spacious, clean and well kept. Water and a kettle with tea/coffee were waiting for us. The bathroom is also clean, a nice feature with stones in the shower :) We woke up to a beautiful view of the mountains. The breakfast was very tasty and varied. The staff was very nice and helpful, the gentlemens even helped a little with the tuk tuk. Highly recommended!

Cannot possibly recommend this place highly enough. This is THE PLACE to stay in Sri Lanka and the owners are the absolute best people. The place, and the hosts are all amazing and this is easily the best value for money we received in Sri Lanka. The owners, Roshan and his mother are the warmest people who entertained all of our requests with unwavering patience and Roshan was kind enough to give us time to make us comfortable at his rooftop. The manager, Praveen, went far beyond any expectations with his kindness and hospitality. The room was brand new, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped with all the necessary appliances. Breakfast was excellent as well, with great quality and variety. Highly recommended.
