One of the best meals we have had in Morocco and beyond - would easily pass in a 4* hotel in the UK. I was surprised at how hot the water was in the desert and of the water pressure - the best shower I had over our 12 day trip in Morocco. So impressive that this is run by 6 people. There was music and star gazing too. Just incredible.

My stay at bab rimal hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like royalty, attending to every detail with warmth and professionalism. The rooms were a perfect blend of modern luxury and traditional Moroccan design, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Every comfort was thoughtfully provided, from plush bedding to exquisite toiletries. But the true highlight of our experience was the unforgettable desert excursion to Erg Chegaga. Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the desert, sharing fascinating insights into the landscape and its history. Camel riding through the golden dunes at sunset felt like a scene from a dream, and sandboarding added an adventurous twist. The serenity of the desert at night, under a blanket of stars, was a spiritual experience in itself. Dinner by the campfire, surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Erg, was a feast of Moroccan flavors, and the staff ensured every part of the excursion was seamlessly organized. For anyone seeking a blend of luxury and adventure, Hotel bab rimal and their desert excursion is an experience not to be missed. We can't wait to return!

This place is amazing. Let's start with the spacious, beautiful, and clean room. You feel you are in a different world. The woodfire place in the bedroom just adds more majic to this place. Beautiful garden and swimming pool. Everything is impeccable. Considering you are at the foot of the Sahara desert... all comfort at your fingertips. Finally, the staff will go the extra mile to accommodate your request/desire. The food was simple but great and local. Woodfire near the pool for a majic evening. You will not be disappointed!

I've stayed at this hotel several times (five or six) with different groups, and everyone always loves it. The staff consistently treat us exceptionally well. They even arrange for the bus to stop right in front of the hotel when we return to Marrakesh in the morning. The rooms are spacious, the swimming pool is large and inviting, and the bar is excellent. It's a true oasis of calm—especially after visiting the desert. I definitely recommend it!

It was a great experience! A tent was spacious and clean with large and comfortable beds and food was delicious. We enjoyed quad and camel riding. Our 6 years old son enjoyed sand boarding and exploring the camp. Staff from the camp was so attentive and playful with children. I must say that I haven't visited a country before where the people are so welcoming, friendly and devoted to children. Special shout-out to mohamed and said!Thank you for the wonderful experience! thanks so much mohamed

A magnificent kasbah on the edge of the Sahara. The architecture is beautiful, the complex is spacious en well kept. The pool is incredible but could maybe use some daylight. The staff is extremely helpful, and the meals were top.

We had an exciting experience with the wild winds of the dessert. Even though the weather wasn’t great, Larbi made our stay comfortable and memorable! The food was amazing and the tent was cozy. We shared stories and music and we would love to come back! Thank you!

Very easy drive from Zagora to MHamid.

Very easy drive from Zagora to MHamid. Numerous mobile speed controls ( watch the speed limit) on the road😜 The desert is of course nice but No big sand dunes unless . Great for motor sports. A bit of a dead end place unless you have good four wheel drive vehicle and go to erg Chagaga. Town nothing special.

If you want to avoid big crowds and are willing to travel a bit then M'Hamid may be a good choice. You are 2 hours by 4x4 and a couple days by camel to see the Erg Chigaga. When I was visiting in December there were not large crowds which enhanced the trip for me.

A busy village with normal Moroccan/Desert life and passing tourists. Only a few tourists stay overnight. Limited number of restaurants. People are very friendly and welcoming. The whole village can be walked in 40 minutes. We had food at AZWAD which was nice. The tourist shops are typical of Morocco but not too pushy.

This small town is the entrance to the Sahara desert, so it’s an advantage for those who come for the trekking or the desert tours. The disadvantage is the sandstorm that hits directly the houses and streets of the town. Nevertheless the people in the town are cheerful and friendly, they welcome the visitors with lovely smile The town is rather new to the local people, a few km away from the town, the vast oasis spread in which embraces several Ksars with ancient earth and cray buildings. One can explore those ksars, meet the people in the communities, that is a precious experience apart from the camel rides or trekking in the desert.

M'Hamid is the perfect gateway to the Sahara Desert.

M'Hamid is the perfect gateway to the Sahara Desert. The village exudes a peaceful atmosphere, and the locals are incredibly welcoming. We used M'Hamid as our starting point for an unforgettable desert adventure. The camel trek into the dunes and the night under the starry sky were simply magical. M'Hamid is a hidden gem worth exploring!

Perfect place to start your trip into the Sahara desert.

Perfect place to start your trip into the Sahara desert. We went to the Chegaga dunes, 60 km by 4x4 on dirt tracks. There are several bedouin camps you can book for an unforgettable overnight stay. We booked with Chegaga berber camp. We highly recommend them. The return trip was 90€ (900 dirham) and well worth it.

We had the best stay in Morocco. Mohsin is the best and friendliest person we met in Morocco, thanks to him we had an unforgettable trip to the desert with lunch, we returned full of impressions. The camp is in a very quiet and beautiful place, beautiful surroundings, we had a parking space right next to our room, which was very convenient. We got a very nice room with a view of the desert and palm trees. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. I highly recommend it. Once again, thank you very much Mohsin, we hope to come back again.

It is the people who really make this hotel excellent. The facilities are great (pool and loungers) and the food is good but the staff are so friendly and always try to go above and beyond to accommodate you and make sure you get the absolute best from your visit to the Sahara. They offer activities: overnight desert camp to the Erg Chigaga dunes (if you do this please ask for Hamza, our guide who was absolutely fantastic), camel riding and ATVS which were just brilliant. Thank you all so much

Sbai Palace is the perfect place to stay and rest before/after heading out to the desert. The hotel really is like a palace with large, beautiful clean rooms. The pool area was lovely, the chef made extra effort to prepare food that my children enjoyed and, perhaps best of all, was the service - Abdou and his colleagues gave us a warm welcome which was followed up during our stay by some of the best service I have received in a hotel anywhere. I would highly recommend!

Accommodation is basic but has everything you need for a stay in the desert. Don’t expect a riad but a authentic, superfriendly and helpful stay at Ibrahim’s auberge. Ibrahim will do all in his power to help you make your dreams come true. We came to Mhamid without booking anything in advance with a family of 4. He fixed us quad rides, arranged a trip to the desert and camel rides for better prices than you find online. It was a pleasant stay.
