We included 3 excursions booked on booking.com and planned it so that we had break-days in-between. Travelling with my mum, I made certain that if some activities were a little strenuous, we would sit it out and enjoyed travelling around Marrakech. Visited the Atlas mountains which was wonderful with trips to Essaouira and dinner in Agafay dessert. Friendly people with great culture and traditions. Loved the local medina, tagines and traditional food. Lots of great activities like the souk markets, sound of the mosques calling to prayer, cafes and parks. Having stayed at a riad in the old medina, us 2 women ventured everywhere, even late evening for a late night stroll after dinner. Some offish attention offering assistance but it was easy to ignore them and walk on without any issues. With excellent weather in late Nov to early Dec, we were blessed with lovely sunshine and got to enjoy beautiful Marrakesh. Loved Morocco and will definitely visit again.

Magical. Marrakech: A City That Stays With You
Magical. Marrakech: A City That Stays With You
Marrakech is one of the most incredible places I’ve ever experienced, and having lived there before COVID, it holds a special place in my heart. It’s a city that’s alive in every sense, chaotic, colorful, and endlessly captivating.
The Medina is unforgettable. Wandering through the souks, you’re surrounded by the sights, sounds, and smells of a city that never stops buzzing. The spices, the handwoven rugs, the intricate lanterns—it’s a feast for the senses. Jemaa el-Fnaa, with its storytellers, street food, and performers, feels like stepping into another world.
But it’s not all chaos. There’s a balance to Marrakech. Quiet moments on a rooftop terrace, sipping mint tea while watching the sunset over the Atlas Mountains, or strolling through Jardin Majorelle are just as special as the energy of the souks. The hospitality of the people is unmatched. Check out DarDar Rooftop, Lotus Club, Buddha Bar and Safran by Khoya
Marrakech isn’t just a destination; it’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave. For me, it’s a place I’ll always return to, not just for its beauty, but for how it makes you feel - completely alive.

The Medina can be quite overwhelming - needed to spend a little less time there after 2 days being immersed.
the excursions were the highlight as most tour operators operate in a very professional manner with state of the art minibuses. the tours are generally max 8 to 10 people. this is what made the holiday the best in my opinon.

Marrakech is city full of colors, aromas and flavors.
Marrakech is city full of colors, aromas and flavors. We only stayed in the Medina, for 2 nights. I believe you can see all you need to see in 2 days, and then the hassling at the souk gets a bit too much. So, I'm happy for number of days we stayed.

Marrakech exceeded my expectation.
Marrakech exceeded my expectation. The hotel we stayed was at the centre of town so we had access to all amenities. Food was lovey, especially the Yana street vendor, close to where the hotel was. We visited it a lot. Transportation is very easy and cheap. Cab Drivers were always everywhere so we didnt have to look for one. We went to Medina to shop several times but the highlight was the tour to Agafay. it was a memorable experience for us all. Weather was simply lovely. not too warm . Perfect time!!!!
I recommend the marrakech experience to EVERYONE.

Modern, new and with a sophisticated design.
Breakfast was top quality and good variety.
Staff was lovely and made you feel welcomed, always smiling.
Location is good, close to all 5 starts hotels in Hivernage like Nobu and Sofitel Marrakech with great rooftops and restaurants so you don’t have to go all the way to the medina in order to have a good time.
Upon arrival, the help desk were slow to respond. the check in process took ages to be completed!
the elevators were only 1- operating! in what said 5 starts hotels!!
we never had a chance to find a parking spot. we HAD to park in the street!
Wonderful staff who helped us with many requests, including booking hammam and massages at the Riad. Better service than many 5 star hotels!
Lovely atmosphere, charming Riad, very comfortable in great location.
I had an excellent experience in staying at the Hotel Lawrence d'Arabie, I will definitely recommend it to anybody who's looking for an affordable but 5 stars accommodation in the centre of Marrakech
Great location. The hotel has comfortable rooms and serves an excellent buffet breakfast and dinner along with a more formal dining option. The all inclusive is great value too.
