We really enjoyed our time in the desert tent. We arrived late in the evening, after dark, and got a little lost, but Hamid kindly came to meet us and helped us find the way. Upon arrival, we had chicken and lemon tagine for dinner, which was absolutely delicious. In the morning, we took a camel ride, which added a wonderful experience to our stay. Breakfast was also very good. We really liked everything and highly recommend it!

My two-day stay at Dihya Desert was nothing short of delightful. Nestled beside the sand dunes, the campsite boasts a serene and picturesque atmosphere. The tents are generously spacious and furnished with all the amenities you'd expect in a hotel room, including private bathrooms and toilets. Stepping outside, you're immediately greeted by the warm sand of the desert beneath your feet. I had the pleasure of partaking in a camel ride and jeep safari, with the former at sunset being an absolute must-do. The food and tea were delicious, and the staff's exceptional warmth and helpfulness truly impressed me. A charming heart-shaped swing positioned beside the tents was a thoughtful touch. All in all, Dihya Desert is an extraordinary retreat for those seeking to relish in the desert's striking beauty

This camp is quite different from all other camps located in Mezouga area: first, it's futuristic look, you feel like you are on another planet and second, it's located away from all other camp sites and you can enjoy true loneliness. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Dinner was amazing - from food to presentation. Everything is new and super clean and comfortable. Sunset and morning views are spectacular, you wake up with unobstructed view of the dunes. They can pick you up from the main road or the village, it is not a problem to get to the camp by a regular car, the road is not paved, but quite good and it takes only ten-fifteen minutes from the main road. We regret we stayed only single night here.

LOCATION. When I looked at the satellite map of the Merzouga desert, I was shocked to see that so many camps were very close to each other on the eastern side of Erg Chebbi-one of Morocco’s largest seas of sand dunes. But there was an area to the south of the erg where there were less than 10 camps, all spread out in a large area. Itran was one of those camps. Another important factor to note was that Itran was surrounded by impressive sand dunes, high enough for us to go sandboarding on. Other camps are located far from the dunes, so the guests would have to be transported by camels or 4x4 vehicles to the dunes. At Itran, the sand dunes were a few steps from our tent; we just walked out and the magnificent sunrises and sunsets were right there. THE TENTS. All tents in so-called “luxury camps” have a toilet and shower area, so that was not an issue. But what I really wanted was a tent with windows—large windows! Almost all of the camps have tents with only a door, and possibly a small window, but only a handful have panoramic windows. Imagine the last thing you see before you fall asleep are the stars in the sky!
