Beautiful location. Staying in a Katun helped me understand how families used to live together in a single room. Heating comes exclusively from a wood-fire stove/oven that also serves as the heating element for hot water. We only stayed a single night here but if we come back to Montenegro, we'd definitely consider an extended stay here to explore the area further.

Unbelievable location with fantastic hiking, cute cabins, nice host. I was worried the drive up wouldnt be easy in a small car from the other reviews but it was actually fine. Best to do it during the day of course but very doable in a small car if youre a bit adventurous. There are phone carriers that work OK there - best to find out which ones before you go. Otherwise the family is super generous in setting up hotspots.

Everything about this house was perfect - the welcoming hosts who left us a bottle of wine, the cozy and quiet home where we slept wonderfully, and everything we needed for cooking. The view from the house was stunning. There are also many hiking trails starting from this location, which was a big plus for us. We went for walks, picked porcini mushrooms, and happily returned to relax afterwards!
