Valletta, and in fact all of Malta, is a wonderful place to visit for a vacation, whether you like beaches, culture or history. There are many interesting places to visit and learning about the history of these small islands is absolutely fascinating. Some of the Megalithic Temples are older than the pyramids - imagine! Also, the influence of the Knights of the Order of Saint John can be seen everywhere, and is super-interesting.

Lovely city to walk around (but lots of hilly bits).
Lovely city to walk around (but lots of hilly bits). Feels very safe. A good mix of interesting historical areas and well-designed sympathetic rebuilding. Plenty to see and do, and loads of cafes and options for dining.
The bus system is excellent, making day trips both inexpensive and fun.
If you like being on the water, you’ll be spoiled for choice!

St John's Co-Cathedral is an experience to behold - a must-see for history buffs. I really enjoyed visiting Mysterium Fidei and the Black Friars Church, which are close together and can be seen on one ticket for 13 euro (saving 3 euro). The restaurants are amazing, as well as the street food (pastizzi and ftira).

This was our second one week stay in Valletta during November. The November weather can be very hot in the sun or cool when raining. We still have not visited any of the museums or charging attractions. There is plenty to visit and see. Hundreds of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The boat trips to Sliema and the Three Cities are only worthwhile for the view looking back to Valletta. The low-cost tourist train around Valletta is recommended to get first impressions and your bearings. The Barrakka lift is a god send.

Great if you manage your time to avoid the cruise ship invasions. Go out of season and consider your visits to avoid crowds. In general the local, culturally diverse inhabitants are friendly, warm and genuinely enjoy their work. Many of the cruise ship gangs are rude and treat this beautiful place like just another tourism product. Malta, take note from Barcelona and Venice - ban cruise ships. they are killing local culture and the Mediterranean.

This was the first time we've stayed in Valletta and hopefully won't be the last. I think there is something for everyone in the capital. Lots of bars and restaurants with a strong Maltese and Italian theme wherever you go. A great shopping area for those inclined and tons of history to catch up with everywhere. I would definitely recommend the gun battery salute fired each day from the upper Barrakka Gardens for only 3 euros, it's a great experience followed by a short tour from one of the volunteers. There are walking and mobile tours on many buses available for a small fee. Valletta has a very good bus service we found and very reasonably priced to visit other places on the island if you don't want to drive, I didn't.. We did get a taxi to the fast ferry port on the way to Gozo which I'd also recommend ,both again reasonably priced.
The people are very friendly and welcoming and we're already planning to return very soon.

Good place for people who want to live in city centre and don't wanna pay much for hotel, everything you need is close and you don't need to waste your time to get from one place to another. Living in such an old building has such atmosphere, I miss this place, it has its spirit.
We haven't used kitchen, but for sure it's a big advantage to have it
Towels, shower gel available
Super nice hotel located in the centre of Valletta. Lovely staff with great energy. The room was super clean. We also had breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant and it was perfect. The vibe of all the people working there just makes this hotel even nicer. If in Malta again, we’ll surely stay at La Falconeria.
Very clean and comfortable hotel located close to the city centre. Breakfast was excellent with good choice of food and drink. Staff were friendly and helpful.
