This seems to be a refurbished hotel. New bed that is very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is a short walk from the Malecon and we blundered onto the first night of Carnival. Fantástico!

It was very modern furnished with a smart TV, a coffee kit and even an iron! From the insect screens on the windows to the beauty products down to the beach towels, everything was taken care of. The location is excellent, relatively quiet, yet everything was within walking distance. Angélica the host received us and gave valuable advice on how to make the most out of our stay in La Paz. However, the gem are the bicycles free of charge. We broadened our radius with them and hat a lot of fun cycling down the „malecón“.

Clean, modern and well kept facility with lovely terrace on the top floor and secure parking. It's located in a clean well lit neighborhood with plenty of restaurants close by and a supermarket. We were a group of three couples in town for shopping and medical purposes and it more than met our needs. The senorita on staff was very friendly and helpful 👍.

Better than Cabo if you're looking for a better alternative for a weekend getaway. Not a 'party' town a lot more family friendly and clean downtown area with plenty of walkable waterfront restaurants and shops.

Just relaxing and not trying to seek out lots of places made our stay very relaxing and peaceful. Strolling the Malacon and the LaPaz Bay beach was our reason for coming. Enjoying the LaPaz sunsets is such a treat.

I fell in love with La Paz… and it truly honors its name—“Peace.” This place is absolutely gorgeous, 1 hr 50 minutes from San Diego, CA. This is my new place to come more often, it used to be Cancun, MX.

La Paz is easy to find your way around with google maps for walking, Uber for transport, and we rented a car from Mex. All options were great experiences. Find great restaurants on Google.com. Enjoy drinks at any place on the Malecon. We loved Buzos for drinks and awesome pizza. Great shopping just a few blocks from the Malecon. Historical options available. Cultural options available and so many great beaches.

La Paz is an interesting place to stay, if you make use of the adventures available. And you do NOT need to book them in advance, as there are many tour vendors on the Malecon. For me, I live near the beach in San Diego and have boats, so I do a lot of these activities at home, but many travelers are here from places that do not have clear water and clean beaches, so for those wanting to snorkel, see whales, see very beautiful beaches, this is great for all that. Plus, of course excellent Mexican food all over. It is not for those wanting surf or wild nightlife, in my opinion.

La paz is a wonderful place if you're looking for a quiet vacation (with the exception of carnival week). The Sea of Cortez is lovely and calm and warm, although the beach along the malecon are not really condusive for swimming due to pollution. There are a few lovely beaches close by though. We had a rental car. Traffic however, is a nightmare! local laws are merely suggestions, but if a gringo doesn't stop at a stop sign, you're definately going to meet the local police!! We went through a flashing yellow light, and the police lights lit up right away! They had been beside us so knew they hit the jackpot! A reminder to make sure you have a copy of your drivers licence and passport with you and to NOT give your original one to them, or they will not give it back until they get their "lunch money" . If it hadn't been for the fact that we had a plane to catch, we would have taken the "officer" to task and insisted on going to the police station! And sadly, these older officers have young recruits with them who they are teaching how to bribe gringos!! It's really time Mexico dealt with this corruption of their "police force". It's truly shameful! Another tip...don't drive at night either because most motorcycles don't have proper lighting and there are lots of them. We were driving behind two guys, each taking up a lane for themselves. One had lights on his bike, the other had a flashlight taped to his handle bars!! Lots of speeding and infractions which seem oblivious to local police. Other than that, we will be back at another time.

I spent a week at the Sunset Hostel and had such an amazing experience. The volunteers as well as Mariano and Sol are absolutely lovely and take amazing care of the guests. The kitchen is amazing to cook as well as hang out with the rest do the travelers and the different balconies / rooftop / garden provide so much space to hang out. A special thank you to Mariano and Sol for their kindness, and their help with the trip. The next time I come to La Paz, I’ll make sure to come back 🫶

This is a lovely brand new boutique hotel in a yurt and safe area. The rooms were nice and the bed and bedding extremely comfortable. The staff was also very accommodating and we could keep car and some luggage there while out for four day kayak trip.
