Splendid isolation - if you like peace and quiet - this is paradise! 20-25 mins to nearest town. Access is via a dirt road (but easily passable by a taxi - people in other reviews stating you need a 4X4 are wrong!) Beautiful local wildlife - in our short time there we saw dolphins, crocodiles, hawks, vultures, pink flamingos to name a few. Lovely family run bed and breakfast who were so helpful and supportive when my wife needed an emergency dentist. Great breakfast! Beds very comfy. Effective AC/fan in our room. Will definitely come again next time we’re in Huatulco!

We couldn't possibly have been happier than this! Casa del Sapo is that rare, elusice thing that for us represents true luxury. While the house is indeed very, very beautiful it is also incredibly well planned, providing everything one needs, while still blending into the actual attraction - the closeness of the mighty sea and the surrounding nature. We loved just being there - the sound of the waves erasing all the noise one usually has going on in the head - turning our senses to what is here. Mario will have our eternal thanks for opening this place for guests. Mariela and Fredy, the caretakers, are incredibly nice people as are Lichia and Chichu, who run the little restaurant nearby with the most delicious food.

The hotel is located in Puerto Angel right between two beautiful beaches, the view from the room is spectacular. The rooms are very large and spatious, the jacuzzi on the balcony is wonderful for a romantic night. The staff are lovely locals, the food was delicious and felt home made. It is a very short drive from Mazunte and Zipolite which is great for going out to dinner.

A truly exceptional place if you're looking for peace and quiet! To us, the location was perfect: right on the beach, with a lovely stretch of ocean and literally no-one else around most of the time; though there are some other accommodations there, the beach still felt super private, and we mostly saw people at meal times (as Manta Raya also has the only restaurant in the immediate vicinity). Great food, with new dinner options daily, nice bar - with prices similar to upmarket restaurants in Mexican cities. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. The whole place literally shuts down at 10 PM, so you can really recuperate from the bustle of pretty much everywhere else in Mexico (though it's not far from other, livelier beaches, towns, and some attractions, and the hotel can arrange transport - we, however, felt no need to use this option throughout our short stay).

The property is located in a very isolated area,...

The property is located in a very isolated area, approximately 2 miles off-road (you will definitely need a car to get there). There is a beautiful beach 300 yards down from the property; however, it is not swimmable. The bedrooms lack air-conditioning and glass windows. They are made of wood with meshed grids, allowing you to hear everything at night: waves that sound like thunder, roosters, and barking dogs. The view is spectacular, and the pool is very nice. However, the house clearly needs refurbishment—particularly the kitchen, utensils, chairs, pillows, and perhaps a simple small speaker for music. This is a romantic destination for a couple seeking adventure and relaxation—except for the fact that we encountered two tarantulas (one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen), which could be unsettling for some guests.
