Nice town. I studied at University Science Malaysia so always been on this side very often due to the ferry and bus service. A lot has changed in the past 20 years but still, some of the old sceneries and buildings were there such as the Convent School, The Hospital and the Indian temples.

I used to came here for working purpose. I loved the local food here, reasonable price and variety of foods. I loved to walk in the supermarket besides the Sunway Carnival Mall. I've found a lot of Chinese food in Jalan Chai Leng. Besides, there are many factory in Perai area also, many lorries, makes the road not so smooth.

Good for business people.
Good for business people. Wrong side of the bridge for Penang Island and the tourist spots but grabs are cheap and quick. If you have the time the local public transport is good although bus frequency can mean over 30 minute wait but if you want to experience/see how the locals live it's a comfortable(air conditioned), interesting and cheap way to do it. The local people are very friendly and willing to help you find your way. Just ask until you find someone who can understand enough English(not hard) The ferry across to Penang island is pleasant and quick and puts you at the bus depot for connections and just walk across the road to start your Georgetown experience or to your left for the clan jetties.

Perai is not Penang what people understand.
Perai is not Penang what people understand. It's a small town, clean and tidy. Well connected to Penang by road and sea. Cost & time of travelling become high for tourist to Penang. So place is not suitable for tourist.

The location is strategic, nearly to the highway, shopping mall and etc. Thanks to the one of the staff name Md Yusof (if not mistaken) for the good attitude and pleasant treatment. First time in my life the hotel staff remember our face even our last stayed was in the last two month. We feel appreciated and honoured. Keep up the good works.
