NetherlandsAgama is a nice resort style place to stay when visiting Sossusvlei. We stayed there for two nights and took the tours they offered to Sossusvlei and the sundowner. The tours combined with the great food in the restaurant and the relaxing infinity pool (with drink service) made our stay very nice and peaceful. Don’t forget to see the stars at night. The oryxes and warthogs that walked around the lodge made it even more special.

HungaryThe campsite is really nice, a quiet place to relax after a long day on the road. The facilities are clean and the staff very friendly. It is true that the campsite is a bit far away from the main lodge, but it was not an issue for us. We enjoyed the pool and a cold drink and then we drove back to the campsite for the night where an amazing sunset was waiting for us.

Everyone was so welcoming and the location was great to drive from Windhoek and close enough to get up early and head to Sousselvlei for a sunrise walk. Amazing stars at night and a lovely 4 course meal for supper. Thank you for our lovely stay.

The room was extremely comfortable and we would have loved...
The room was extremely comfortable and we would have loved to spend more time here. We booked the sunrise drive which was one of the highlights of our trip to Namibia. The sunrise went on forever and our guide was very informative. Surprisingly we were the only ones who chose the option that morning.
The only downside was the restaurant. While the food was OK we had to sit inside next to a large mobile air conditioner. One staff member would move it so it didn’t blow directly on us and another would move it back. It was so strong it kept blowing our plastic water bottle over. A bit more sensitivity would have been welcome.

We stayed in this location mainly to visit Sossusvlei which is further south. Solitaire itself is a charming but tiny settlement - only a few buildings and a petrol station, however it has an amazing cafe serving "the world's best apple pie" and it was! Solitaire is about a 20 minute drive from Soft Adventure Camp at the Namib Naukluft Lodge.

SOlitair mountain lodge is a beautiful lodge with an incredible setting. they have a beautiful pool and watering hole close by which brings animals in such as zebra and Gemsbok/Oryx. The rooms were comfortable and large and the space is neat and well maintained. friendly staff made it extra easy to check in. We definitelywould stay and extra night at this lodge.

Friendly staff that were not intrusive and quick to assist when called. Made our stay very comfortable. The rooms and beds were clean. Perfect stop for when visiting Sossusvlei or stopover for drive to Swakop.

Suitable for one or maybe two nights. There's a shop, petrol station, bakery and lots of parking as well as the hotel and restaurant. Nice outdoor areas and a camp site and the sunsets were great! Food and drinks are well priced at around 200NAD for a meal, 22NAD for a beer and 150NAD for a bottle of wine. Gifts in the shop are slightly more expensive than we saw elsewhere but not loads. Wooden bowls for 195NAD was the same as in the market in Windhoek. There is a reserve and they have 5 cheetahs who are cared for as they were taken in as cubs due to circumstances. Well cared for and seeminly content. Game drive to visit them was around 370NAD each.

We stayed at Agama Lodge for 3 nights and it was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. The luxury room was superb, aircon most wellcome, the food was good and the pool was a gift from heaven.
We enjoyed the delicious food. The staff was friendly, always available and very friendly. The sundowner drive was the highlight. We can only but highly recommend Agama Lodge to anyone travelling to Sossusvlei.

Lovely spacious room with aircon, beautiful view, great location for exploring more of Solitaire and surroundings. We enjoyed the stoep relaxing with a beautiful sunset. The Restaurant and Bar offer a variety on the menu; we enjoyed our dinner and drinks. Thomas, great host, friendly, provided us with information and excellent service.
