I loved that that the Glamping tents were a bit away from the lodge and you could enjoy the quiet and peace there. The lodge which can also be used for Glamping guests (food, pool, WiFi) and is well equipped. Trips are also offered from the main lodge to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei.

Absolutely superb experience- our tented home opened every morning to a stunning African savanna vista. We had a waterhole on our doorstep, where we were able to see wild horses frolicking as the sunset. Sunrise, sunset and the sky of stars are something to behold. Camp Gecko provides a quiet space to absorb the beauty of Africa and Namibian. It is close enough to Solitaire, your one dtoo for all but also far enough to truly experience the African bush. Staff were amazing and their varied braai packs were greatly appreciated. A cannot recommend Camp Gecko enough. We will be back.

We had an amazing stay here. When we arrived we actually got upgraded into the Namib Naukluft Lodge, which is just around the corner and has the same owners. Staff was absolutely wonderful and super helpful. Dinner was superb and very healthy. Eating under the stars in absolute quiet and tranquility was an amazing experience!

Solitaire Mountain Lodge offers views of the Namib Desert and the Naukluft Mountains. It features 1 outdoor pool, a garden and a restaurant.

We had a fabulous stay. The converted farm house is stunning, rooms are spacious and clean with a lovely view into the bush towards the waterhole. Meggie and Anna warmly greeted us on arrival and helped make our stay special. Would definitely stay again!

These spacious, air-conditioned bungalows feature warm décor and local touches. Situated near the Naukluft Mountain Zebra Park, the lodge has an outdoor swimming pool with a shaded seating area.

The quality of the Deluxe - Chalets was superb! With the possibility to sleep on your own rooftop and see all the stars, it is unique. The infinity pool with a view into the Namib-Naukluft Park, the sunset game drive, the exceptional food, the superb service of everybody, including our repaired tire - we can only recommend this lodge! We will be back!

Great pool and drinks for cooling down. The camping spots were quite far from each other so it was peaceful (we didn’t have to share the spot because we were the only ones). We saw a giraffe next to us in the morning!

Located south of Solitaire, Namib Naukluft Lodge is set on the private Nam Nau Habitat. Backed by granite hills, the lodge offers an outdoor pool. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar and restaurant.

Absolutely beautiful location with our rooms, pool and breakfast having fantastic views over the desert. The photos don’t do it justice. Everyone was so welcoming and the location was great to drive from Windhoek and close enough to get up early and head to Sousselvlei for a sunrise walk. Amazing stars at night and a lovely 4 course meal for supper. Thank you for our lovely stay.
