We’ve been to the camp 2 weeks ago. We had a really good time. The couple is lovely, funny and have plenty of good advices. We had probably one of our best sunset. From the camp you can reach the fish river canyon in 1 hour 15, so you can easily to it in one day ( and do also the sunset there). You do not have wifi but what for ? This place is perfect to reconnect to the nature. If I could, I would have pu more than 10. (10+6 !!) 😉 Little tips : they sell good house hunted meat and cakes.

Due to low season we were upgraded to Naukluft lodge which is a few hundred meters away from soft camping. Idyllic location in the middle of the desert. Very quiet and peaceful. You can see wild animals wandering around from your balcony. Ground squirrels even come to your balcony and can be hand-fed.Very comfy beds and good meals. Very friendly owners. They even helped us with our car troubles. Overall we had a fantastic stay!

Solitaire Mountain Lodge offers views of the Namib Desert and the Naukluft Mountains. It features 1 outdoor pool, a garden and a restaurant.

Exotic and idyllic location in the middle of the desert. Helpful stuff! Has been nice relaxing in the pool after a day in the desert. Pictures surrounding. We enjoyed the cheetah game drive and the fat bike ride.

These spacious, air-conditioned bungalows feature warm décor and local touches. Situated near the Naukluft Mountain Zebra Park, the lodge has an outdoor swimming pool with a shaded seating area.

If you are looking for a place to stay when visiting sesriem and sossusvlei dont look any further! this lodge was spectacular, it really exceeded our expectations, from the pictures you can't really tell how beautiful this place is. we arrived late in the evening and the staff waited for us and served us dinner at 23.00, including two vegan options since i requested them once i booked the property. the swimming pool is breathtaking and the rooms are so spacious and beautiful. the location is amazing and the breakfast and the meals served there are simply perfect.

Great pool and drinks for cooling down. The camping spots were quite far from each other so it was peaceful (we didn’t have to share the spot because we were the only ones). We saw a giraffe next to us in the morning!

I was in the hotel for the second time after 2017. the hotel is stil very nice clean and well maintained. very good food and the landscape is fantastic Nice pool to cool down as well We will be back

The beauty of the scenery where Namib Desert Lodge is situated is not possible to do justice in photos. They have some marked trails you can hike by yourself, but also arrange trips and activities. It's a 2 hr drive from Sossusvlei and, yes, they do arrange daily excursions there - a must! The staff at Namib Desert Lodge were all wonderful - attentive and taking the best care of us. The room I had was great - clean and comfortable. The restaurant had good food - game meat always part of the menu - and they have a good wine cellar. I stayed five days and really relaxed there - enjoyed sitting outside in the lounge chairs with a book and watch a group of oryx/gemsbok come by the water hole just outside the lodge, every afternoon.
