The suite was very comfortable. The king bed was a treat and the room was surprisingly quiet as it was on a busy street. Anne was our staff contact and had everything in order for us.

Relaxed and quiet, great to wander around the streets, just need to take care of cyclists!
Beautiful architecture, the Catholic Cathedral is well worth a visit - climbing one of the towers a highlight.
Very good public transport - we did not have a car, but explored the area by train to Amsterdam and by bus to the coast.
We ate in an Italian, Indian and a Michelin standard restaurant. All very good, but there are lots of restaurants and places to buy lunch snacks from.

Haarlem is a really nice town.
Haarlem is a really nice town.
It has a similar look and feel to Amsterdam but more compact and far more refined.
There are plenty of shops, canalside bars & restaurants all in a pretty town centre.
It has large central station which provides fast, direct rail access to Amsterdan, Den Hague, Delft and Zandvoort.

Amsterdam has become hostile toward the overwhelming deluge of tourists, especially cruisers. Haarlem was an absolute delight. Closer to the airport on arrival than Amsterdam. A fraction of the size. Beautiful town, you can't go hungry, scenery is magnificent, museums wonderful, and if you insist on going to Amsterdam, it's 15-20 minutes away by train.

Haarlem is a charming old town with many things to do within walking distance or by bus or train. Public transport is cheap and easy and will get you just about everywhere in the Netherlands comfortably and fast. Much less crowded and easier to navigate than Amsterdam yet only a 20-minute train ride away from it.
Kids love Linnaeushof - Europe's largest playground, a 15-minute buts ride from the train station. The Zuiderzeemuseum museum is also marvelous for adults and kids alike, an easy train ride away.
We stayed for a week in the split level apartment. It was really quaint and comfy, and felt like a home from home. The children enjoyed using the cafe in the afternoon, and the atmosphere was always chilled. Location was fab and we would stay again! Haarlem has so much to offer, culturally, with a great selection of historic sites, museums and restaurants. It was really easy to access the train into Amsterdam too.
A beautiful, upstairs apartment, with all amenities, situated in a lovely residential area, just round the corner and over the bridge into the town of Haarlem. If I had to suggest one thing it would be to put the name plate above the doorbell as there is 2 number 8s. Other than that would 100% recommend Sanders apartment when considering a trip to Amsterdam.
It was clean great location close to station very modern lighting a selection of tea on arrival very spacious for two people or two couples this would accommodate .smart tv sound bar with netfix ,comfortable sofa large kitchen and Haarlem is a fantastic place to stay if you don’t want to stay in Amsterdam trains run regularly and take 20-30 mins
Excellent breakfast, set us up for the day. Haarlem is a great place to stay as an alternative to Amsterdam, just 20 mins on train to the city. The nearby Teylers Museum is definitely worth a visit. Excellent hosts and a beautiful building.
We saved a bit of money by staying at the Lion in Harlem for a few days. This hotel provided us a great base for many day trips around the Netherlands. Bright, clean and welcoming staff and a surprisingly larger room.
