This boutique hotel, located in the city center of Woerden next to Kerkplein, has free WiFi access and a restaurant on property. Best hotel I ever stayed in the Netherlands, will come back. In these kind of hotels, Business travellers feel like at home, not in a hotel!
The new Best Western City Hotel Woerden opened its doors on the 1st February 2016 in Woerden. Guests can enjoy a drink at the on-site bar and private parking is available. From hospitality to the view of the canal to the accommodations .... it was all just wonderful! The free breakfast was delicious and has so many choices. This is not a hotel in the city center, but it's a beautiful, 10-minute walk - at the most - into town.
Offering an outdoor pool, B&B Posthoorn Lodge is located in Woerden. Free WiFi access is available at this accommodations. Woerden Station is 1.6 mi from here. Facility is modern and great among sheep, canals, nature and birds - Extra large room open to fields and private. Excellent breakfast and helping owner to find local restaurants (Roma was good).
Mourits Hoeve is a self-catering accommodations located in Woerden. Free WiFi access is available here. The property is 9.3 mi from Utrecht. We loved everything at this property. The location, the comfort, the host, the house, everything! Totally recommend if you want to relax while in the area!
De Lage polder is located in Linschoten and offers a garden. Guests staying at this apartment can use the free WiFi and terrace. The bedrooms are nice and roomy, the bathroom is well equipped. The apartment is very close to the freeway, so if you are looking for a central spot in the Netherlands, it is well situated and easy to reach.
Louisehoeve Holiday Home is located in Linschoten and offers free bikes, a garden and a terrace. The location is excellent, it's beautiful and very quiet but still only a short drive or cycle to the town. Bikes are available so you can explore the local areas like the Dutch. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and they have taken great care in the build and restoration of their property would highly recommend.
B&B Louisehoeve is located in Linschoten and has free WiFi access available. The dining room and kitchen is equipped with a microwave, and oven and a refrigerator. Great farmhouse B&B; large 2-story apartment with kitchen; quiet location; central to all the places I needed to go in NL
Located in Harmelen in the Utrecht Province region, Pipowagen/chalet de oude rijn features a balcony and river views. The apple pie was freshly made as a welcoming and hospitality gift and it was mouthwateringly delicious! Dorien is a very kind and good lady. Outstanding accomodation. It's like camping next to the river and its beautiful with fresh fruit trees and shrubs of berries and quiet peace.
A town with a lot of history. A great place to spend a few days, great restaurants all around. Some shops nearby and a lovely walk around what once the defence moat which surrounds the town. Google earth it before you visit.
Beautiful dutch village with plenty of shopping and restaurants. In addition, this town also has it's own windmill and castle (all within walking distance). We found this to be a good home base since our plans were to drive to Delft, Keukenhof, Gouda and Kinderdijk. We didn't want to go from hotel-to-hotel. All of those city's/locations were only within an hour drive. Which worked perfectly for us. When we returned back to the hotel, we went for walks through the village. We love it here and will definitely go back!
Small village feel, old roman ruins, but with enough shops and space. We didn’t even find it necessary to go into a bigger city. A ‘secret jewel’! Everything in walking distance from parkhaus Castellum/Stadshotel Woerden.
Woerden is historical as being quaint whe you walk around the harbour. There are plenty places to eat. The locals are really friendly and made us most welcome. We went to this amazing cheese shop by the Jumbo Supermarket which is near where we were staying. the lady was most helpful in suggesting different cheese to bring home
Quiet little town with a great Bregje restaurant near the station. Pleasant walks along the canals. Excellent railway connections to other parts of Holland including Schiphol airport and Biljmer Arena. Not much to do in Woerden itself, apart from a free windmill open occasionally. Quieter and cheaper accommodation than the big cities and a good central location for exploring central and southern Holland. Northern Holland would be accessible but will take at least 1 hour by train.
It was Saturday afternoon/evening and not much was going on. There were restaurants but you had to look closely to see that's what they were and know that yes they were open. There wasn't a good map and Google wasn't very helpful either, so it was hard to know where the historic buildings were or even what to see and where to go. We gave up and had dinner in a cafe and went to bed early.
