Wow - what a wonderful place for a relaxing stay. The hosts were charming and helpful. The accommodation far exceeded our expectations - spacious and comfortable with quality furnishings and even a separate kitchen and terrace we would love to have used if warmer. The river was only 200m away for relaxing walks, and a 24hr self-serve supermarket completed the rural escape convenience! Truly one of the best stays we have had - we could not rate it highly enough!

Bø is the perfect location for exploring Mid-Telemark.

Bø is the perfect location for exploring Mid-Telemark. It features several grocery stores, a drugstore, numerous dining establishments, and multiple refueling locations. It's about an hour and forty-five-minute drive north to the Norwegian Industrial Workers Museum, which tells the story of the "Heroes of Telemark" operations during World War II, and is definitely worth the drive. Check their website for opening times and days. An hour south is the city of Skien. A significant population center with many museums, shops, and restaurants. It is also the southern-most point on the Telemark Canal (Telemarkskanalen). Driving along any of the numerous minor roads surrounding Bø will bring you to farm shops, old churches, and other attractions, which are fun to discover and explore.

We chose here because of better price and proximity to Bø Sommerland. So, it was really good for what we decided here for. But it is far from city center and there is no grocery or restaurant near than 3-4 km away. But the place itself was really good. A lovely yard/garden equipped with BBQ, chairs, tables and some toys to play with and entertain kids. It had everything you need in the kitchen. Bed were comfortable. The only concern we had was the cleanness.

The hotel is great for visiting with kids, as they offer a lot for them. The pools are great, free activities (table tennis, mini golf, chess etc) also very helpfull when visiting with kids. + free parking in front of hotel + breakfest + possibility of buffet dinner + friendliness of staff

The location of the hotel is really good only a few minutes walk from the main street. The swimming pool outdoors was an nice bonus, especially in Norway. Breakfast was good and a very comfortable hotel.
