Second time visit here, I'll say the yard is one of the best spot of hardanger fjord. Renovated room is very clean and huge. Also with coffee/tea facilities and a fridge, which used to have none. Like it very much. Had three nights buffet dinner. The qarm dishes and pastries changed daily. Has a huge variety of seafood and pastries. Comparing to last time I visited, the food imporved a lot. But I do missed the harp live performance. The basement (ground floor) changed but still have a lot to explore. You can find lots of stories belonging to Edvard Grieg and history of this hotel there. There are also several seating area, each with different kinds of feeling. The atmosphere is fantastic. I tried playing my instrument in one of the area in a rainy day and love it.

The view from the window is absolutely incredible! The reception was so warm and friendly — we truly felt welcome. Every request was handled with kindness and care. It’s a lovely place with absolutely amazing host, adorable to communicate with. The room was cosy , with ergonomic modern design, and had everything we needed. The surroundings are quiet and beautiful, amazing sunsets. Convenient start for Husedalen.

Amazing stay with view on the fjord. Very tasty breakfast. Confortable beds. As big plus was for us small fridge on the corridor. Amazing view in front of hotel on fjord with benches. Location +++. Room clean, renovated, comfortable bed. Would give 11 out of 10. Would love to return in few years again.

The position is amazing and waking up to the sound of birds chirping, seagulls playing in the water and the view was a perfect coronation of the start of our day. The host was super responsive and always in a timely manner. There are two cats who are friendly which is a plus lol when we stayed on the dock outside they came for pets. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you could need. Such an amazing stay.
