Located in western Norway’s Nærøyfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this waterfront hotel offers easy access to ferry boat fjord tours. The location is right on the ferry pier and the view is stunning! We can overlooking the mountain from our room. The staffs are so nice and good breakfast.
Set in the Nærøy Valley, this camping is surrounded by high mountains with a view of the Kjelfossen Waterfall. It offers an on-site kiosk and cottages with a patio and kitchen facilities. What an introduction to Norway! The location is really good, just a 2hr drive away from Bergen, and a 20 minute drive away from Flåm. Parking is not an issue at all. The place was really clean and comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen made it easier to get breakfast ready for the kids. There's also a grocery store close by. We even extended our stay, we liked the place so much!
Overlooking the Nærøy Valley, this family-run hotel offers 2 in-house resraurants and a panorama lounge. Gudvangen village and the Nærøy Fjord are 15 minutes’ drive away. WiFi is free in public areas.... Amazing Amazing Amazing views 😍 I could just sit there and stare at the valley and not get bored of it ever❤️. The feeling of calm and peace was so refreshing. The staff were lovely. Very very friendly. Amazing customer service. Went over and beyond and super efficient and quick to respond to queries. Breakfast was a lovely spread. You can even pack a box for lunch at 95 nok. They have some board games to keep the little ones busy. Special shout out to Seleja for all the amazing detailed recommendations to see around Stalheim. We checked out at 530 am to spend some time before our train which meant we would miss breakfast so the staff had packed us boxes which was very thoughtful and very proactive ❤️. Overall amazing experience and this should not stop anyone who don't have their own car. It's still doable. We managed to do quiet a bit with two small kids.
This hostel is just over half a mile from Flåm Station and the Aurlandfjord shore. It features a guest kitchen, TV lounge and large garden with BBQ facilities. Wi-Fi and parking are free. Rom, kitchen and bathroom eas excellent. Clean and well equiped.
Beautifully located by the Aurland Fjord, Flåm Hostel offers free parking and rooms with private or shared bathroom facilities. Flåm Train Station and Ferry Terminal are 984 feet away. Beautiful location. Spotlessly clean Very welcoming Kitchen well stocked
Very enjoyable Viking themed stay with great scenery good staff and great meals. The glass roof gave amazing view of the sheer walls and three waterfalls in the morning. Very comfortable! Deer stew went down extremely well.
Nicely renovated comfortable no frills hotel in a quiet location, out of season. A shuttle bus or ferry made the journey into Flam easy. The breakfast was buffet style, good choice of mixed cold meats and cheeses. The evening meals were disappointing, and expensive as you expect in Norway. Having said that if you are only staying a couple of days a good stop over hotel.
Location was the most + point of our stay. Fjord was just a stones throw away. Other points and places were a drive distance and flam was reachable both via ferry and shuttle. Food for vegetarians is a little problematic in hotel as the buffet served has less options for veggies. There is Shell fuel pump and Xtra store that has some quick foods.
Gudvangen offers a ton of scenery and not much else. Our overnight stay was more than enough time to enjoy a dinner at the only place in town, a brief hike to the WWII bunkers the following morning and time at the Njardarheimr Viking Village for a few hours until our bus left for Voss in the afternoon. Everything is within walking distance.
We enjoyed the Viking Village at Gudvangen, and the view of the mountains and waterfalls was superb. We were able to purchase food items at the nearby Joker gas station, which was well-stocked with ready made/easily prepared foods. We didn't get to do the kayaking available there, but that would have added a bonus. A very nice town!
Gudvangen is very small but very beautiful. It’s the perfect place for a one night stop over not far from Bergen. The fjord cruise from Gudvangen to Flåm was spectacular! There is not much to do in Gudvangen itself, but a drive to Flåm is worth it for a meal.
Gudvangen is such a lovely place, and this camping has a beautiful location by the foot of the mountains, just a short walk down to the lake and viking camp. And the Viking camp is impressive!
It is a Viking themed hotel, and the main buildings and restaurant is very well made. The surroundings is breathtaking.
The hotel has a very nice view, it's basic and clean.
