Recently renovated, this hotel is just around the corner from Haugesund’s main street, Haraldsgata. The perfect hotel for what we were doing. I was there to race the Ironman with my family as support crew (partner and two young children) and this hotel and its staff could not have been more helpful. The room was perfect with two joining rooms and lots of space. There was a double, a single, and a cot. The staff were amazing and the owners a joy to talk to.

Little city with many nice buildings and a beautiful church, but city planning is lacking, a very good playground for city planner to gentrificate the city center. Insead of plain and boring, it could have been so much more vibrant and colorful.
Great site, perfect location for our needs. A short 5- 10 minute safe cycle into town. The staff were extremely helpful and kept the site in great condition but also managed to be laid back , just as we like it.
A little sleepy village, but there is something special about it. Amazing view, typical to this area of Norway. All the western fjords area is amazing. I wouldnt come especially for Haugesund, but it is worth a short visit if you are in the area.
As we stayed for the New Year only we did not see much of Haugesund. The shops were shut so we just walked up and down the high street and over the bridge. Weather was freezing but at least we saw a statue of Marilyn Monroe which was near the hotel and visited a church. Overall, we would recommend going to Haugesund in the Summer but not in the winter.
Haugesund does not have that much to offer, other than a small city center and cafes/restaurants along the river. It is great as a stop over to going either north (to Bergen) or south to Stavanger. The establishment at the waterside can offer a great atmosphere while having a drink or a meal - it is a must see. You can get around just walking if staying in the city center. 1 - 2 nights would be enough to see what Haugesund has to offer.
Nice, quiet town, on a beautiful seaside location. Beautiful waterfront with restaurants with large terraces. Some beautiful Art Nouveau buildings. Colourful, hilly streets. It has a beautiful big lighthouse off shore.
