Our family with a 3 years old had a great time at the apartment. It was very clean, cozy and the beds were really comfortable. We had everything we needed. Hosts were very very friendly and nice, it was a pleasure to meet their family. And the view to the fjord was really beautiful, we enjoyed having breakfast in the garden. Vickinghaug is set amongst incredible Norwegian fjord...

Vickinghaug is set amongst incredible Norwegian fjord scenary. It has the other point of interest in that there is a, no longer functioning in its original capacity , factory in the middle of the Fjord. Because it poses no environmental problems any longer. This factory gives the Fjord an interesting historical relevance. The proprietors are obviously always improving the function of the accomodation to suit lots of different styles of travellers. We stayed in a three bedroom, self catering apartment with views on both sides. We had a drink in the evening looking over the lake and the waterfall and dinner at night looking over the Fjord. The walks in the area are popular because they are so full of natural beauty and thus attract many hikers and campers . The town felt slightly off piste from the over used tourist pathways which suited us perfectly.

The accommodation was spacious, new, modern and well-equipped. It is a series of separate apartments on the first, second and third floors. Access is from a door on the street and it is not possible to unload a car from in front of the building. You have to park in another location but there is plenty of free parking available nearby. To get up to the apartments there is only a narrow stairway. The first floor apartment has a door opening on to a large roof-space with very nice views of the fjord and surrounding town.

Odda is quite small and the place is not too far from city...

Odda is quite small and the place is not too far from city centre. There should be an additional information about rent of duvets and bed sheets for 10 euro or 100 nor coron (they do not accept cards so you have to take cash from atm). Ppl at the reception are nice. However the information about limits in water quite weird. In Norway everything is a bit more expensive but comping just Bergen to Odda, Odda you have to multiply prices for accommodation. Quality wasn't that high, room clean but showers are need to be improved. Also they need to inform ppl to close the door from kitchen as smell is going around the whole building. Enjoy your stay don't forget to take your tracking shoes before entering the building. :)

Great choice. Very well localized, not in the city center but pretty close to it- 5 min by car , very quiet apartament with absolutely Amazing view of Odda !!!! I liked a movie - guide which helped us to find our acomodation without any problems and to park a car in nearby- close to the chapel. In the city center u can find Lots if supermarkets, charging stations (if u have an electric car), tourist information… A lot of atractions around- glaciar, waterfalls, fantastic trailer… 100% recommended!

The cleanliness of property was amazing also the view from the balcony was awesome. I have recommended this property to my friends who are thinking of travelling to Odda. The place is so close to nice restuarants and cafes. Also superstore is located within walking distance. The car parking is free during night and during daytime one can park for 4 hours. I will surely book this during my next visit.

Great staff with good flexibility. Everything was smooth from check-in to check-out. Location is perfect because the bus terminal is just 3 min away. After all Odda is not big at all. Highy recommended!
