Nice city, been many times before but didn't have time to look around much this time. One night, and one day working. Come in the summer if you can when it's nice to walk around the harbour area and the backstreets with all their little restaurants and bars. It's expensive though - the oil capital of Norway. In October it was steady, non-stop rain.

Stavanger is beautiful, though I'm not sure I would feel the same if it were cruise ship season. We were lucky that we got clear views across the port for 2 out of the 3 nights we were there, as there was only one ship in overnight, but it can get busy apparently.
Lots of lovely walks, and a trip our to Lysfjord is a must. We also got the local bus to the Sverd i Fjord, which I loved seeing.
Vibrant restaurants and bars, and lots of great street art.

Stavanger is a nice Norwegian port city.
Stavanger is a nice Norwegian port city. It is mostly visited by cruise ships and has lots of shopping and tourist types of businesses in the center. Most all Norwegian brands are represented. The center of the town has a romantic feeling. There are numerous restaurant choices with excellent quality. Prices are high but it is Norway.

After 3 days at Bergen went for a day there. Nice harbour front, not to be missed is the Oil & Gas museum by the waterfront. Can spend hours there understanding how oil shaped Norway's economy. Lots of good places to eat and shop. Definitely a place to cover if you are into oil and gas in any way.

Everything was great at this hotel. Less than 10min drive to Stavanger town and 40min to Preikestolen. We were 3 and they added a single bed in the room which was surprisingly super comfortable. The big bed as well. Bathroom is huge and Rituals products are awesome. The breakfast is INCREDIBLE - one of the best we've had in our life, totally worth a 5-star standing. There is everything you could wish for, even a make-your-pancake station which we loved. We loved it and recommend it to anyone travelling to Stavanger.
The location was superb. You could easily walk to the major landmarks in the city centre of Stavanger. The breakfast was excellent, offering a variety of food, vegetables, and fruit options. Complimentary coffee and iced water were available 24/7. The room was of a decent size with a double bed and a sofa. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The best of all was the friendly and helpful bareception staff!
It’s a wonderful Radisson Blu property right in the centre of Stavanger, right next to the lake. The staff are friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Our family room was spacious, contemporary and well appointed. The bed was super comfy too. Breakfast choice is wide and the quality of food is great. Express buses to Preikestolen and airport stop right in front of the hotel entrance
The place was so lovely and the pizza place and the bakery on ground floor were amazing. Best pizza my partner and I have ever had - we ended up eating downstairs a few times during our stay. Within walking distance from the city centre and there’s also a decently priced parking lot right next to the building which was convenient
Nice place to stay. Everything was correct and cleansed. The instructions were correct. Beds were.so comfy the best from my travel to Norway. No complains
