Located in the beautiful town of Svolvær in the Lofoten Archipelago, Scandic Vestfjord Lofoten offers free WiFi and rooms with views of the Vest Fjord and the characteristic Svolværgeita Mountain. Breakfast was very good. The staff are friendly and caring. They were apologizing that the breakfast is not as usual because they had some reconstruction going on. But actually it was the best breakfast I had during this trip (I stayed in 6 different hotels on this trip). I did not even notice any reconstruction. Amazing view both in the dining area, as well as my room - just in front of the harbour. Convenient location if you take ferries to or from Bodo or other locations in Lofoten.

We have been in Lofoten a couple of times and Svinøya Rorbuer is without a doubt the best place to stay in Svolvær/Lofoten. We stayed in a Rorbusuite XXL and it was excellent!
Svolvær
Lofoten Rorbuer has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Svolvær, a 19-minute walk from Hurtigruten Terminal Svolvaer. Lofoten Rorbuer had, by far, the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. I had some troubles with my flights/ferries in getting there, and they were so helpful in reassuring me and making sure everything worked out OK. The front desk attendants were so kind and polite, and really went above and beyond to make my experience memorable. The hotel, itself, was also beautiful, clean, and comfortable.

Svolvaer is essentially a fishing port. There are huge mountains surrounding it. There are some easy hikes but mostly it is in the territory of rockclimbing with ropes due to the steepness of the mountains. I assume there is good fishing and mountain climbing And northern lights sightseeing in winter. The town has everything you need but limited activities.
Probably one of the least scenic towns we saw in the Lofoten Islands. There are some decent hotels down by the water, as well as restaurants. The remainder of the town is industrial looking. Almost no place for coffee/breakfast until 9am if you don't have that option where you are staying. Even Circle K, the last resort choice for coffee and a pastry had nothing to offer. Use it as a ferry terminal, but head out to better locations.
Svolvaer is a good starting point for discovering Lofoten. We stayed 4 nights in a fantastic house at Svinoya. To discover Lofoten with its amazing nature it's useful to rent a car, which is very expensive. We were disappointed not to find a fishmonger's shop with a good choice of fresh fish and seafood.
short distance to mountains and sea. We attended a greate Rib tour supported by Go2Lofoten (Midnight safari). Eddy , the local guide told us a lot about history and nature. We can really recommand Go2Lofoten for other visitors.
I hiked up Tjeldbergtind mountain, the view over Svolvær was worth the hike. In Svolvær I visited Magic Ice bar, which is actually an ice-sculpture art gallery (inside gigantic freezer). Magic Ice was memorable experience, though a bit expensive IMO. -- Compared to other destinations in Lofoten, Svolvær and nature around it is passable. Compared to other small cities and nature around them I've seen, Svolvær is great.
Very picturesque and tranquil place. beautiful scenery and good fishing. stockfish are worth a visit . Sea eagles fly about and the WW2 museum is very interesting. The Hurtigruten comes in twice a day and is good to watch too!
Svolvær
A good choice, such a lovely place. The apartment is very spacious, perfect for relaxation time, for enjoying a pleasant evening indoor. Great attention to details, very clean. You can tell that the owner is really interested in offering a beautiful experience, that he really cares about the guests. I definitely recommend it and we will sure come back here next time we will come to Svolvær. It feels good to see that beyond offering a service, we know how to manage one another as People. A big thank you.

Staff were friendly and helpful although it's a self check-in hotel. Booked at the last minute but still able to check in without any issues. Free parking in front of the hotel. Gas station next door. Small room but clean. Fair price including breakfast box (cold).

The apartment is situated directly on the jetty facing Svolvær harbor. Great view to Svolværgeita and all the other mountains surrounding the area The place has all amenities you could need and even a great internet.
The location is great, in the middle of Svolvaer, the House was simply fantastic great for our 4. Plenty of space and great view. Parking is free of charge, Svolvaer is a good base to explore the Lofoten.
The location of the hotel is exceptional! The view from the restaurant is beautiful. Breakfast is delicious with many options and the staff is helpful.
