I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional experience I had during my recent stay at Hobsons Choice Motel in Dargaville. From the moment we checked into their establishment, we were greeted with warmth from the lovely lady at the front desk. The room provided was well presented, comfortable and impeccably clean. The bed was very comfortable and so lovely to sleep on. What truly made our stay memorable was the peaceful environment the motel offered. It provided the perfect sanctuary for relaxation and rejuvenation that allowed us to unwind after a long day of travel. Thank you once again for providing such a wonderful accommodation option. Our Host was very nice and fixed our toilet problem soo fast! We loved The Cute Chair out front, the Beds were soo nice my husband and I had our Own Bed for 2 nights lol. Its also in the middle of an industrial area but its a very quiet area it was peaceful sitting out the front watching the rain :) Very cute cosy cottage.

It would take me a whole day to list everything I liked about my stay but I’ll name the key players. Firstly, the hosts Peter and Sara were such welcoming and friendly people. As soon as I arrived they invited me to have dinner with them, and we finished off a lovely night in with a game of Rummikub. Secondly, the location is just stunning. Peter took me to see the dairy farm next door and even let me have a go milking the cows (not by hand haha), and after he took me on a hike up the local mountain which had a 360 degree view of the landscapes. Also an honourable mention goes to the tens of animals I met while staying there - my fave were Sara’s horses. It was the best way I could’ve kicked off my NZ trip. Thanks so much Peter and Sara for having me! I would recommend this place 100 times over.

about 2 km off the main road to Pouto point. comfortable place to stay in the rural area. Welcoming hosts. tasteful decorated room & bathroom. comfy bed & good shower. Spa pool was a good ending to our biking day.
