Villa Caprichosa is located in Taboga, an island off the coast of Panama City. It offers spacious suites just a short walk from several beautiful beaches. The facilities are perfect to relax and enjoy some self pampering. The staff is superb, all Of them.
Cerrito Tropical Eco Lodge Inn offers relaxed family style accommodations. The hillside eco lodge is located in Taboga Island, 30 minutes from Panama City, by scenic ferry ride across the Panama... I love the view from the patio area! Also the bed is so comfortable.
Dreams Playa Bonita Resort & Spa offers its guests 5 outdoor pools, spa facilities with massage services and a fitness center. Very comfortable and relaxing stay, we love Roger the bar tender! And he let me play the piano! So much fun! Food is great, I expected an all you can eat shrimp buffet, but instead it's all you can eat fine dining which is just as good I guess. Beautiful views, clean grounds, nice staff.
On Playa Bonita Beach and offering Pacific Ocean views, The Westin Playa Bonita Panama is set next to a lush rainforest. I loved the entire property. It was clean, the staff was professional and courteous. The food could have been alittle better for the price paid ~ However it was still good. I would return. I loved the fact that the menu changes daily. The bar area was great too & the staff. Loved them!
Located 984 feet from Playa Veracruz, Meanwhile in Veracruz provides accommodations with a shared lounge, a garden and a shared kitchen for your convenience. The hospitality of the owner, Nathalie, it's simply amazing. She is super gentle and caring. Willing to offer everything you need and ask. It's European style, it's not far from the beach of Veracruz and so kind to the guests. Great place for a weekend out of town and near the beach. It has good space for a big family to stay! She offers the breakfast as you like and vegan! I'll definitely come back and recommend it! We had such a great time!
The beach is lovely...its worth walking along the sandbar and rest on / near the little island. Lots of cheap food and drink on offer at the beach and some shopping. A few other good places to eat near ferry point. I loved Mundi's. Evening options limited. This is really a beach and walking location (if you start early in the day...Hot!). There is limited offer for food, drink, shopping. But thats the beauty of the place.....
Taboga is a lovely spot for soaking up the sun. It's only 30mins ferry -$24 return- from Panama City and charming. If you are doing a day trip make sure you have booked your return in advance particularly on the weekends when it is a big hit with locals too.
Taboga Island was very relaxing and quiet. My favorite place to go there was the cafe in the church plaza. Also, on low tide, you can lounge on the beach that stretches to the small island nearby. Unfortunately, most of the restaurants and water activities do not open every day or sometimes at all on the days that they are supposed to be open. It can be hard to find food at night so it is a good idea to make reservations at the callaloo restaurant. And make sure that your hotel is not next to a chicken coop because of the noise. We had a very positive experience staying on the island. We went for a very long hike and got lost on the way down but it was very worth it for the view. It was very nice to get out of the city and go to the beach on Taboga Island. The ferry that takes you to the island for $10 each way is called tabogaexpress and they also do snorkeling tours. They are very friendly and were so accommodating to us. It was a great experience!
I was very nice, the only thing is that we preferred to stay over the weekday thinking it would not be full of tourists and we would get to do more things, but because of this most of the locations we closed, so i would recommend to go over the weekend (Friday to Sunday maybe)
Taboga is a small, poor island. The best thing about it was the people. They were friendly and helpful like other Panamanians we have met. Taboga itself does not have much to offer. The beach is not very big. There is a lot of trash and many abandoned buildings. It is OK if you are looking for a rustic beach vibe or a short getaway from Panama City. Be aware that there are not too many restaurants open for evening meals. They seem to cater to the day trippers.
Beautiful island but small. Not many restaurants and only one small food market with limited wares. We enjoyed our stay. It was tranquil except during Carnival, when it became very noisy with loud music all day long, every day.
The facilities are perfect to relax and enjoy some self pampering. The staff is superb, all Of them.
