We stayed at this property for a week and honestly we couldn’t have asked for any better the view from the room is breathtaking we woke up many mornings before the sunrise and we had the most beautiful view!! You basically have your own private beach especially as you can go into the water right in front of the room and we went snorkelling and saw a large amount of coral and different fish! There’s a large shop only 10 minutes walk away from the property as well as food vans and car/scooter rental the ferry port is a 30 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. But the best part of this property were the hosts they were so so lovely to us!! We were greeted by them at the ferry port when we arrived back at the property they gave us fresh coconut from their tree they also showed us how they make coconut oil they left us fresh avocado and bananas again from their own tree and made us a beautiful heart from flowers as we were on our honeymoon and they even bought us breakfast on the Sunday as there’s a special breakfast and they wanted to surprise us with it!! Honestly I would recommend this place to everyone!! Of course it’s not your modern villa as there’s no tv or air con but it’s so much better we had amazing nights here we had better nights sleep here than any of the other islands! 100% recommend to everyone!!

We loved everything about this hotel - the accommodation which was spacious and beautifully decorated in light modern decor. We had a big bedroom and a lounge area with kitchenette too. There were USB sockets each side of the bed which was very helpful. We had a big terrace with a good quality table and four chairs and two sunbeds. Our view was to the pool and the ocean beyond looking through palm trees. It was perfect and everything we hoped for. The staff could not have been more helpful and all spoke great English. They helped us with travel tips and to book our evening at the Tiki Village for which we were so very grateful. The restaurant area is very nice and we enjoyed cocktails looking onto the beach at sunset and a lovely meal afterwards. There was plenty of parking for our rental car. There's a great supermarket called Super U just 2/3km away with stalls next to it selling local fruit and vegetables, The beach area was perfect - wooden double bedframes with shade over the top, comfortable mattresses and pillows as well as lots of beanbags and side tables. We were never stuck for a place to sit and a waiter came round at 5pm one night to tell us it was Happy Hour and serve cocktails. We went snorkelling off the beach every day and saw amazing fish as well as swimming with a turtle and having five foot shark casually swim past us. It was amazing.

I really enjoyed my stay at Fare Om, I wish it was longer! Initially I was supposed to stay in a chalet but they upgraded me to a double room with private bathroom, it had mosquito net around the bed so I slept like a baby. The owners are really nice people, there are bicycles you can borrow (for free), they even have handmade souvenirs like fridge magnets, bracelets, necklaces etc. Wifi was good and stable, couple of folks were working remotely in the house so it should be good for nomads.

Absolutely everything, perfect stay. The lodge is absolutely beautiful - 10/10. We stayed at the Hilton and Sofitel while on the island but this lodge scored the highest for us on great value and friendly stay. Things we liked - • comfy bed • great, large balcony with nice chairs • well equipped, clean kitchen and bathroom • extremely clean • FREE pick up and drop off from port - which is very expensive in French Polynesia • most friendly, kind and helpful owners • idyllic garden • lovely owners with help you organise tours, trips and things to do on the island • great location on the island - minutes walk from great restaurants, fantastic bakery, bank, supermarket, pharmacy and beach cafes • could easily stay here days / weeks!
