Sanctuary hotel resort is a nice place to stay, specially if you are a solo traveler woman. Everything was perfect, but the best in this hotel are people. Special mention to Inmaculate, who helped me a lot in all my requests, and a lady in the morning that prepared for me a coffee just because she realised I really needed it. You are fantastic people

I found the location quite central and convenient, sufficiently close to both the airport and the waterfront. There's also a brilliant handicrafts market around the block. The staff were cheerful and responsive, the showers were very hot, room service was quick and security excellent. The General Manager, Mr Saif, was experienced and very helpful. My short stay was memorable and I would almost certainly stay at this hotel if I returned to Port Moresby.

The staff is simply amazing. They are helpful, professional and knowledgeable. I had a comfortable stay at the Shady Rest Hotel, which is located in the middle of everything, provided you have a car or use taxis. For convenience, the restaurant has a good range of options and there is also a pizzeria next to the reception.
