Ludy's Pension House offers free WiFi throughout the property and rooms with air conditioning in Carles. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Ludy's pension house is what you would expect in a far flung town. The beds are comfy, rooms clean and the food is great.
Featuring a garden, Endielina's inland resort is set in Estancia and also provides a terrace and a shared lounge. The personnel was really kind and approaching and reacted to all our concerns and wishes. If you come with your kids, you gonna enjoy the pool area, the karaoke and spacious restaurant. Trips were arranged very well, boat men were incredibly kind.

Offering free WiFi, RedDoorz@Lawaan Roxas City is set in Roxas City. The units in the hotel are equipped with a flat-screen TV. One of the most decent hotels in the area. A/C works really fine, the location was great, the staffs are very hospitable and the room was nice and clean.
The island hopping was a fantastic experience the last time we were here. This time the weather did not cooperate. We had excellent food and rooms at Solina Resort which we really like. This was our second time at this resort and we will be going back again. There are many other resorts to choose from at different price ranges. There are small eateries scattered all over Carles and several souvenir shops to browse through.
Not much to see and do in Carles itself but it is a good location to start tour to Las islas de gigantes. Although the islands are awesome, they are quite a distance from Carles port, thus the time alloted per island for a day tour was quite short. I would like to come back and maybe stay at least overnight in one of the islands.
We loved the resort and friendly helpful staff. The scenery was great. The problem was the long, long wait for the boat ride to do island hopping. We had to leave the hotel at 6:30 a.m. and then sit in the boat for hours until 9:30 for it to fill to capacity. The benches were very hard and the space was too cramped. No bathroom on the boat. The same problem coming back. So a total of 7 hours sitting on the boat and only 3 hours of being able to enjoy the small islands. The islands were not as interesting or unusual as described in the brochure. Not sure it was worth the 4 hr drive from Iloilo to Carles . . . a lot like Palawan but more inconvenience waiting for the boat to leave. By the time we got to the islands it was noon and super hot.
I like the beach view and the morning walk its kinda therapeutic for me! The place is quite you can sleep well! The food is yummy and the bread is freshly baked! Maybe have it available for pasalubong too!
Gigantes island was great! Though potable water for bath is hardly found in the island. Delicious clams that are cheap and wasay-wasay (rocksalt clams?) that makes me want to go back. Pretty peaceful town even at night. Hot and humid in the summer. It was hard getting to a bangka from Gigantes island to bancal port at low tide. You can get real wet even transferring to a small bangka to a big boat. But all in all, it was a great adventure!
