I don’t think our stay could have been any better! The location is amazingly pretty. Lush greenery, mangroves,..a small piece of paradise on Earth! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves some of the tastiest food we had in the Philippines and the setting is just wonderful. It’s a bit out of town (10-15min by tuktuk) but don’t let that scare you. You’ll appreciate the peace and quiet and the ride to town is quite nice.

This little hotel was the highlight of my stay in Palawan. The owners are a Filipino family. They are small business entrepreneurs and they have been open for less than a year. For this alone, you should stay here. To support Filipino small business and encourage the prosperity of the Filipino people. But that is not all. There is a happiness from the staff and the family. A real happiness. You can tell they are truly good people. There is no phony hospitality. They truly are interested in you having a good stay. The location is perfect. Right off the main road, where all the main dining establishments are located. Just a short walk leads you to their fine little hotel, tucked away in a quiet corner right at the heart of the city. The room was clean, the airconditioner was cold, and the showers are hot. There was free cold water and free sachets of coffee (along with free hot water). This is not to be downplayed, as most hotels would certainly try to charge you for water and coffee. Not only did the owners invite us to join on their family birthday dinner celebration, but they spent time talking with us and sharing their story as well. I met the owners father, Seraphine, who was a fine man at the age of 91. He has traveled all over the world and all throughout Philippines. A true gem of a man. Finally, as we were leaving, I cannot believe it. The owner actually personally drove us to our next destination. He tried to refuse any payment, which of course we insisted to give. So long story short, I implore you to stay here. Support local businesses. Support kind and happy families. Help good Filipino people attain prosperity. It is the least we can do as tourists.

The most important things to do here its the underground...

The most important things to do here its the underground river located in a cave about 2h drive away from the hotel by van to the National park. Also its nice to travel down the south for Balabac but I personally picked North up to El Nido for more Island Hoppings.

Need to have more efficient traffic management during peak hours. The LGU should improve, sustain and maintain infrastructure esp the port and the walkway.. When we went to the port to buy streetfood the stalls are sitting in rough ground and very muddy after rain. It is not good to see for visitors to walk around and wondering where tourism tax are spent for? More people will have a fruitful stay in the city if the place is worth staying for few more days befire heading to E Nido and other popular places..

We did the underground river tour.

We did the underground river tour. It was rainy but still worth it. It was one of the most unique experience for us to see how the river caves formed and all the different stalagtites and stalagmites formation Other attractions we would probably like to see is Honda Bay.

We didnt spend a lot of time in the Puerto itself sadly, given our resort was 90 minutes away but we made a couple of day trips and Puerto seems more relaxed & laid back than most cities in the Philippines with plenty of activities.

Worst public ride rates, not regulated, mostly a rip-off. The streets are unsafe with so many potholes, no street cleaners to keep the dust away. I appreciate the vehicles stopping when a person crosses the street.

The only point of living in this town is to take a tour of...

The only point of living in this town is to take a tour of the underground river. The city itself is not made for people, and especially not for tourists. The only tourist street is Rizal Street, there are a few nice restaurants there, and that's it - there is nothing else to do in the city, nowhere to walk.

The staff is super helpful and can help organize various tour in and outside Puerto Princesa. Be sure to visit the Iwahig prison and penal farm to get a glimpse of life of the inmates. There is a fantastic food court on the same street as Greenspace Palawan, all stands are recommended! The breakfast at the resort is huge and in the proper filipino style.

If you want to try a bit of Palawan life in a local compound, Amber’s Homestay is great. I didn’t spend so much time there but Billy was super nice and really helpful. This homestay is located in a quiet place but nearby you can find the airport and a lively street to hang out. The night will be lovely in this small room in Puerto Princesa

The best hotel we had in puerto princesa. Staff was super friendly and the place was beautiful. Private pool was nice and cozy. Our room was small but it had all we needed. Room was clean and bed was great! Can 100% recommend this hotel if you want to stay close to the airport and center but still have your own peace.
