Puerto Princessa is a very nice city, with some unforgettable excursions such as Honda Bay and the underground river. The latter is just amazing.
Recommend beer up taproom for great craft beer
Very easy and cheap to get around in trikes. Not many taxis so recommend if you find a good driver like we did get his number and you can use them for private half day tours at a very reasonable price line we did. Prebook pick up from airport if many of you or lots of luggage as better than trike.
One downside of Puerto Princessa is the amount of stray dogs. Recommend you get around on trikes rather than walk too far.
But all in all must visit place for the fine city and excursions

We only had a brief look at Puerto Princesa (overnight stop only). We went down to the dockside area where the restaurants are for a meal. Town had a good vibe. If we go back to Palawan, I'd definitely have a better look around PP.

My wife and I have been living in Puerto Princesa for a long time. The nature outside the city is certainly a reason to live here. Unfortunately, many properties are privately owned, so access to the sea can be a challenge. Unfortunately, this also applies to the mentality of the islanders, which is most clearly seen in everyday traffic. Sadly, there is a lot of egoism, arrogance and narrow-mindedness.

We liked and enjoyed much the Underground River tour with very unique features. It's 1 and a half hour travel from downtown to Sabang Port. We tried also the exotic food, the "Tamilok", eaten raw dipped in vinegar. It tastes like oyster.
We also availed of the half day city tour. It's also an educational tour learning the historical background of the City.
We Bona's Changlao, serving Vietnamese food.
We had dinner at Kinabuchs Grill and Bar which accepts debit or card payment.
We also tried Gelateria ice cream in Bekiko. Also an Italian restobar and coffee shop.
Palawan is producer of cashew. You can buy cashew. Nuts in supermarkets and souvenir shops.
Mode of transportation in downtown area tricycle and jeepney. For long distance trip, van or car for rent are available.
I was not able other tourist destinations in the city had very short stay in the city.

We spent 3 months visiting around Palawan.
We spent 3 months visiting around Palawan. Started in El Nido then went to Port Barton, then to Sabang, then to Puerto Princesa. Puerto Princesa is the main town for everything (like hospitals and banks and malls). Good foods in El Nido and plenty of island hopping adventures but also quite expensive and touristy (ie. taking advantage of the foreigners). Each place had some interesting adventures. I would say that we overstayed at each place except Sabang where we only stayed 2 nights.

Booked this hotel in Puerto Princesa again after our trip to El Nido because we had a very comfortable stay here. Something to add to my previous review is that this hotel also provides free water from the water dispenser located on each floor, and mugs are also provided for the guests. The hotel also has a unique feature of looking like a ship, and even the windows and corridors resembles like that of a ship. The balcony also overlooks toward the beach where you can watch beautiful sunsets and boats sailing.
This was my second stay at this hotel, and this time it was also very good. I've stayed at more than 10 hotels in Puerto Princesa, and this one is the best. The room is clean and the staff is very kind and always smiling. The breakfast is also very good. All in all, the price here is very reasonable. I will definitely stay here next time in Puerto Princesa.
If you want to try a bit of Palawan life in a local compound, Amber’s Homestay is great. I didn’t spend so much time there but Billy was super nice and really helpful. This homestay is located in a quiet place but nearby you can find the airport and a lively street to hang out. The night will be lovely in this small room in Puerto Princesa
We only stayed one night in this hotel and it was enough because we arrived in Puerto Princesa (the hotel is very close to the airport) and went to El Nido the next day. A good option for those who want to do the same.
They helped us rent a private van to El Nido
The hotel is amazing, we got big and clean room with a nice design. There is beautiful garden with swimming pool. Tasty food in the restaurant. Staff i super friendly.
