Flower Island Resort has a restaurant, bar, a shared lounge and garden in Taytay. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a grill. Guests can have a drink at the snack bar. A beautiful island with a great reef in front of a pristine beach. The water is beautiful and warm. The staff were excellent, extremely friendly and very accommodating. They changed our room for the remaining days of our stay. (See below) A great place to relax and unwind. Definitely do the pearl farm tour which includes a lunch which is better than the food at the resort which is followed by snorkeling at coral gardens. The coral gardens has coral that is some of the best I have ever seen. We didn't want to leave. The bungalows by the beach are the best and the ones with a fan were cool enough. Coldwater showers but when it is that warm who cares.

Taytay is not (yet) very touristic which is nice and calm. A few okay restaurants though (e.g. casa rosa). Recommend to rent a scooter and drive to lake Manguao (biggest lake in Palawan) which is great for swimming! The town itself is not very special but fine to hang out for a few days. Tay Lelong pension has a nice pool! Take the Cherry bus to El Nido for a nice scenery.
It’s for people who doesn’t like the touristy places and want to see the locals. It has a good balance, you may not see any tourists but You have some pension houses and hostels to choose from. Also good local restaurants. We liked to cruise through the streets and sitting across the bay. We also heard you can take the same island hopping tour as El Nido from there. We really enjoyed staying there and would have liked to stay more. I think our favorite place on Palawan!
Taytay is a small town. Only a few lodging choices at this time but it is a nice place to stop. Quiet at the fort San Isabel in the morning and it has a festive night area with different eating options These may close in May as the mayor said it is temporary at this time. Nice sunset from the port area.
Taytay is very small town and we thought it's good to have a rest there before heading to crowded el nido. It was a little difficult to relax and chill there cause we didnt find any good grocery stores and just one restaurant (pem's). It was obvious that taytay isn't really for turists.
