Willa Majerczyk is located in the picturesque Tatra Mountains village, Poronin, and it offers accommodations with free Wi-Fi and private parking. What a gem! The views are breathtaking! We loved going to the balcony to take in the Tatras! Our hostess was so sweet, and put out a great breakfast buffet for hungry travelers. We loved that it isn't in with a lot of the other resorts - It was quiet and serene. We traveled throughout Poland, and this was one of our favorite places to stay. Great location that is still close enough to all the area sightseeing.

Poronin as a town is used by most as a cheaper alternative to Zakopane. I am no exception. I like this town to spend the nights, since it's definitely quieter than Zakopane. And I do care for a good night sleep, where the only sounds from the outside are sheep bells and roosters. Still, it's close enough to allow getting onto trails of Tatra Mountains National Park or to one of spa or swimming locations in nearby towns. Although my transport of choice was the car, so I cannot speak for those who take the bus. Even with car, getting to Zakopane might be a hassle though, as "Zakopianka" often gets congested, so it's good to accomodate extra time to get to places. Especially if you aren't an early bird.
Poronin is not so close to Zakopane - that may me an advantage and disadvantage at the same time, depending on what are you looking for. If you stay there, it's really great idea to start sightseeing Tatra National Park in Wierch Poroniec - the highest point of entry - and go at least to Rusinowa Polana from which you had a great chance of beautiful view without crowd even at summer Saturday. I think it's really quiet place (if your room isn't close to the road) and I liked it.
The place is really relaxing and full of nature, but i believe that the people who live there are still not comfortable with Muslims, i was treated unequally in some places and i was treated unlike the other customers. I took the best of my anniversary and spent 5 beautiful days in Poronin amd Zakopane.
In the Summer there isn’t much going on in Poronin (a good thing if you are looking for peace and quiet!) so it serves as a great place as a base to access the Tatra Mountains. Local public transport needs a lot of improvement (it’s not impossible to get about but not easy) so a car would be useful. The scenery and surrounding area is beautiful and it’s feels good to be separated from the super touristy and busy feeling Zakopane. There are a few shops and eateries in the village which give you everything you need on a basic level and if you want more it can be found not too far away.
It was few kilometres from Zakopane which is good, but there was not much restaurants or pubs where to go. Personally I would recommend to stand in Zakopane, if you like to go out for some evening walking, or drinking occassion ;)
Poronin is a nice village with a couple of shops and restaurant's and U groloka ski lift. Only a few miles from zakopane. Our favourite place to eat was karzma, all the restaurant's have an English description in the mean so it is easy to choose.
Amazing, relaxing atmosphere in a beautifully decorated surroundings, food to die for, hosts that make you feel like this is your home, not a hotel, in the same time being discrete and professional. This is a place when you want to bring your loved one, your friends, your parents, to relax and catch a breath. I can't find a fault in this place! I sincerely recommend for anyone who needs rest, peace and feeling special to visit Niedzwiedzia Residence. Once you visit, you will want to come back; I definitely am coming back very soon!!!
We rented 2 rooms on one floor. There was a shared kitchen, small but has everything needed. Rooms are very clean as same as bathrooms. We had no problems during our stay. Location is in Poronin and you will need to catch regional buses coming from outside to reach Zakopane. Local buses plying in Zakopane don’t go to the property location. We have been skiing in Harenda, so it is 20 min on foot. An excellent option if you have your own car or don’t need to often go to Zakopane city.
Greta location close to Zakopane, Bukowina Tatrzanska and all the treks. Very friendly staff, great breakfast, very clean rooms, great view on the mountains, fantastic jacuzzi and saunas (included in the price). The ability to order dinner was great. The owner is very helpful and great source of information on all local attractions and mountain treks.
The best breakfast I have ever had during my journeys, all homemade, fresh and various. Friendly, helpful staff, we got discount cards to some thermal baths, etc. We would definitely return to this place, close to Zakopane, but not so crowded, etc.
The location was great, about 4 km from Zakopane, away from the fuss , but close enough. Beautiful surroundings. The Host speaks English.
It was a nice and spacious place. The bedrooms were wonderful and view was amazing. Location is also great very close to Zakopane
It was a great stay. The New Years time was beautiful in Poronin and Zakopane area!
Fabulous apartment with great deco in a quiet area close from Zakopane
It was definitely the best choice, Michal was very kind, he helped us with everything, the breakfast was delicious, we felt at home, very quiet and the best service in all of Poland. Congratulations to the hosts.
