ItalyWe stayed one night in this apartment in fajardo and had a wonderful experience. The apartment was extremely clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The garden is a lovely bonus and makes the place feel peaceful and special.
The owner was very kind and welcoming, and she even gave us a small gift on arrival, which we really appreciated.

The house is 20 minutes away from the ferry and very close to the supermarket, the best we could ask!

GermanyThe apartment is wonderful. All new and with all facilities you might need. (we didn´t cook but the kitchen is fully equipped) The care for the details was outstanding. The host left also a bottle of wine to welcome us. Plenty of room everywhere. I have to say that the furniture is even way too luxury for an aprtment we used basically as a base to visit nearby beaches. There´s a supermarket and other shopping options nearby. 15 mins drive from Fajardo beaches.

The streets in Fajardo are horrible, small and complicated.
The streets in Fajardo are horrible, small and complicated. There are no good signs, many of them are one way, and if you make a mistake there are cops everywhere to give you a ticket. The main plaza was closed for reconstruction when I went with my family in 2026. I tried to access the lighthouse, and you need to make a reservation for September, so las Cabezas de San Juan, and the lighthose were unavailable... Because of the algae bloom, Las Croabas, another beach destination, SMELLED HORRIBLE. To top it all, the islands that we went to, Culebras and Icacos were covered with bees. There were so many bees, we had to step carefully, and cover our food. 0.0% OUT OF A 100% for Fajardo. Go to Rincón, Aguada, San Juan or Ponce instead...

We didn’t get to find out, as we spent hours looking for other accommodation after the last minute cancellation of our accommodations and then had to leave the country early as nothing was available last minute due to the long weekend

Ok, maybe we missed something here, but we arrived on a Saturday afternoon and the downtown area and central plaza were lifeless. Lots of abandoned houses and buildings in the backstreets. With that said, we never felt unsafe. The area to the east is a different story and is touristy with lots of fun bars and top notch restaurants. Avoid the town center and head east.

The location was great being only 45 minutes from San Juan.
The location was great being only 45 minutes from San Juan. We enjoyed the location close to beaches, rain forest, bio lumin trip, snokeling/beach day trip to Culebra and the local restaurants. Really enjoyed eating at Piccadillo as we ate there twice during our stay. The beach club condo we stayed at was perfect for the 5 of us and what a ocean/marina view we had! We felt we had everything we needed at our fingertips including a grocery store. People were friendly and willing to help us out with directions, shopping and conversation when we needed it. Hoping to do the west part of PR next year on our annual Sister's Getaway.

just traveled to Puerto Rico for the first time and after...
just traveled to Puerto Rico for the first time and after looking online decided to stay at El Conquistador. First things first there is no airport shuttle and the resort is almost an hour from the airport. We were able to find an uber which was around 45 bucks to take us to the resort but due to its location when we checked out we had to have the resort set up transportation to the airport and it was 135 bucks. The resort exterior is very beautiful and after pulling in and seeing it I was very excited to see our room. Lets just say it was not as beautiful. We stayed in room 1312 which you had to take a trolley to reach. It was listed as a double queen room, the queen mattresses were set on top of a wooden platform so they sit very low to the ground. The resort is not beachside you have to take a boat over to the private beach that closes at 5pm. FYI the waterpark consist of three slides and a lazy river. The restaurant that is located upstairs that serves breakfast was extremely hot and was not air conditioned. I decided to try the brunch at the restaurant down by the Marina closest to our room. I went in and was seated by the hostess, I sat there over 25 min. I ended up leaving and when the hostess asked why I was leaving I explained that I had been waiting for over 25 min and was not even greeted. The internet is very unstable in our room. So watching Netflix in the rooms was very challenging. The hospitality and service at this resort was terrible. All in all I will never stay at this resort again nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Fajardo is close to everything.
Fajardo is close to everything. About 45 minutes to the airport. Great location for visiting the beach. Great beaches, food and entertainment. I recommend going to Culebra island and Icacos island when staying there. Luquillo is only 15 minutes away and it has a lot to offer.

Naütik is a stylish, spacious apartment with an excellent view located in a posh building in Fajardo. The apartment has all the necessary amenities and Gabi (the owner) is a very pleasant person with happy personality who took the extra step to buy a new pillow and bring it to the apartment when I asked for a firm pillow instead of a soft one.

We had a great 3 nights in Fajardo. The condo was close to everything we wanted to do. We were able to cook all our own meals which was very nice. Beds were very comfortable. Tons of towels (bath and for beach). Great water pressure. AC worked very well. Beach chairs were definitely used and like the washer and dryer.

Everything! The views, Palomino Island, the huge rooms. I highly recommend El Conquistador Hotel, or Fajardo, PR in general as a vacation destination. Will definitely go back and highly recommend others to go.
