Located in Esposende and with Fão Beach reachable within a 16-minute walk, The Spot Hostel Ofir provides express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi throughout the... Excellent place with home-like atmosphere. Absolutely recommend!
Featuring a bar, Hostel Eleven is located in Esposende in the Região Norte region, 1.3 miles from Esposende Beach and 19 miles from Shipyards of Viana do Castelo. Very clean, cheap. Amazing interior! The host was very friendly and helpful. The extra kitchen area for cooking and eating was very nice. Bathrooms had hair dryer.
Located a 18-minute walk from Fão Beach, Villa dos Corcéis offers a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a bar and air-conditioned accommodations with a patio and free WiFi. The villa is very clean and looks like in pictures. The neighbourhood very authentic, good local restaurant and river in vicinity as well as the epty duma beach. The owners are very knowledgable, gave us many tips what to do, where to get a good local wine. They have wine as well. They even recommended very good accommodation in Porto. Bikes 🚴 fir rent onsite. Breakfast fantastic! Umbrella to the beach also provided. A careless stay, wonderfull...
We thought everybody had left town. The whole place was strangely quiet and deserted. We struggled to find an open place to eat. It was early September. A lot of derelict buildings. Just about good enough for a one night Camino stopover.
We are an elderly couple who have been to the area many times since 1975 and never tire of it. It has not suffered overdevelopment like many other resorts. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the food and laid back style . The surrounding area such as Ponte de Lima is superb so a car enhances the experience.
Esposende is a nice little town and a cool spot for kitesurfing. When I was there it was quiet and relaxing. I couldn't find amazing places for lunch or dinner actually, but some nice local patisseries instead. Having said that, there is some offer, just not to the level I was hoping. The coast is nice, the wind strong, people are nice too, and it is very close to other nice towns in the north of Portugal
Very nice place with nice sea and the special cakes from Fao. If you are in Esposende you have definitely to go to get some "Clarinhas de Fão". Fão is on the south bank of the river. You can find them in a very small "pastelaria".
Esposende is a very complete city... It has a river (Cávado), sea (Atlantic Ocean), has hills (Monte de Faro, Monte de S. Lourenço, etc...), it has good hotels and cheap places to eat, it has long avenues for good walks with even bike paths. I'd definitely recommend it for family holidays!
We passed through on the Camino and asked directions at the visitor center . The host gave us wrong directions to the hotel causing us to add a couple more miles to an exhausting day of walking. The town is beautiful. And the beach exquisite.
I newer guesthouse in Esposende. Clean , modern and well run. An absolute delight. We had a family room with three beds, nice linens and a lovely shower. Walking distance to great restaurants. Breakfast in the morning which is included is exceptional and a good place to meet other pilgrims should you choose to do so. exceptional value.
I loved the community aspect. there were plenty of private rooms but also with a shared eating space and yard. our host and her family were so amazing and fun to chat with! She was helpful in giving us recommendations on where to eat dinner and grab drinks! location was great in a small town with the friendliest people!
The owners were super friendly and the facilities and gardens are amazing, there is a heated saltwater pool and plenty of space to relax or do yoga. It’s close to beautiful mountains and a beautiful beach is near, good choice of cafes and restaurants, peaceful in nature, but not isolated exactly what I needed.
Because it was pretty old hotel the concept has been kept the with the same way which felt like leaving in 70's. It was beautiful! I am pretty sure in a winter day, it would be even cozier. And the receptionist girl was the cutests hotel stuff ı have ever seen! I hope the managers treat her well!
The staff were lovely, especially the bar staff who were entertaining right through to the end. The hotel itself is so very interesting with both it's art deco style, great lobby areas and weird art that made it a wonderful stay. Bowling was also very fun!
Family run guesthouse, who provided an exceptional short stay to ourselves. I would recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in Esposende. Our room was spotlessly clean and with everything you could need during our stay.
Amazing hospitality and personal attention paid by staff during my stay in Apulia. Loved everything from the comfy bed to the tasteful breakfast. Would come back in a heart beat.
Great location but needs to fix pin drop on booking, we were doing Camino and if it wasn’t for the locals we would have walked an extra 5 miles
Very clean, well positioned, close to the old city center and the beaches.
Location was close to the beach, but a fair way from the centre of town.
