Hotel Cabecinho is a modern establishment on a privileged location in the region of the famous Porto wine and "Leitão à Bairrada". We liked this as a one night stay on our Camino. It was well located and the pool was nice after a long day walk. Also the four seasons restaurant located in town and close to the hotel was extraordinary.
Curia (Near Grada)
Located in the Bairrada region, this hotel offers 2 outdoor pools and tennis and squash courts. Curia Golf Course is less than 1.2 mi away, while Coimbra city is 30 minutes’ drive away. its an old building that was certainly at its peak long ago. the pwners tried to keep the place ok but everything there is really old. they rent several apartments to permanent residents and the walls are not sound isolated. It was soccer night and we hard a hard time trying to sleep due to obvious cheering…we also woke up very early because of neighboors noise…dogs, door slaming. the place is strange, with temporary walls blocking part of the building, closed stores, dark everywhere…it really looked like a distopic movie from Hollywood. the matress was old foam…not reallyconfortable. Hot water was also a big issue -not much for a family. no breakfast. No AC and parking space is an issue sometimes. you can get better places foraimilar prices.
