Located in the center of Leiria and open since 2015, the elegant Tryp Leiria offers comfortable accommodations for business or leisure. Located just a 10-minute walk from the Dr. Huge room and bathroom. Everything super clean and it was great tohad free expresso coffe in the bethroom. The bed was very confortable, one of the best I have seen. Very good breakfast and very kind staff. The rooms, common areas, and bistro seemed like brand new. Very easy to find parking place in the hotel area so we hadn't to use the hotel parking.
The 4-star Lisotel - Hotel & Spa is located in 4.3 mi from the center of Leiria. This was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed! Everything was very good. It's very modern and environmental friendly, rooms are big and have everything one may need. We can highly recommend this place!
Set in a restored mill just 3.1 mi from Leiria’s center, Hotel Casa da Nora features a sun terrace with views of the Lis River. The lush gardens include an outdoor pool and tennis courts. I simply ADORE this little hotel and restaurant and have made it a point to return on each of my trips to Portugal. This was my third stay. It is quiet, clean very picturesque, and has a fabulous restaurant. GREAT breakfast too!

We did not do much in Leiria except go to Leiria shopping mall & eat in restaurants. We spent our time mostly in Santuario de Fatima & visited Batalha. Alcobasa & Convent of Christ in Tomar. We stayed in Leiria bec we can't get a hotel in Fatima for the 100 yr celebration.
Cute old City. But quite a few of the old buildings are severely damaged and uninhabited. The old City grew a large belt of ugly modern stuff around it, cutting its appeal. Road building gone insane, if not quite as extreme as around Coimbra, which has changed far too much since I lived there in the 80's
My visit to Fatima was my favorite. I ate mostly at location. We went to a restaurant (A Toca) to eat. Getting around Leiria was easy. The bus system was good. I visited Fatima, the mall to exchange dollars for Euro. I visited the monastery in town.
Leiria is well placed to visit places such as Alcobaça and Batalha with their magnificent monasteries; Fátima, the religious centre now celebrating the centenary of the Visions of Mary in 1917; and Tomar with its truly amazing and enormous "Convento de Cristo"; all of these very well-worth a long visit in their own right. There is also the wonderful drive up or down the coast through the immense pine forests between Nazaré and Figueira da Foz, visiting the many beaches on the way. Virtually the whole coast of Portugal is beach, only interrupted by the occasional headland or cliff. Arm yourself with a well-detailed map and guide book!
It's a pleasant little town to spend one or two nights. Although there are some places of interest for the tourist, it doesn't compare to many other cities in Portugal. On the other hand, it's a relaxed, friendly place.

Wow! Lucinda is a gem. As we arrived we got an upgrade and stayed in a beautiful room with a double bed. She even baked an orange cake for me today as its my birthday. Obrigada!! Nevertheless, the whole house including the Pool is so nice, spacious, comfortable and clean. If you are looking for a cozy place to relax and with a perfect location to visit other places (obidos, nazare, batalha, fatima,...) it really is perfect. And the breakfast is also very yummy. Thank you for this wonderful B&B experience.

Diana has been a wonderful host. She really made me feel like home as I stayed in Leiria. She was very helpful when I struggled to find buses to go to Tomar and has taught me a lot about Leiria and Portugal. The common parts of the hostel are very nicely decorated so that you can enjoy a morning coffee in the sun. Moreover they exhibit some peices of art in the hostel which makes the stay even more interesting. I was kind of sad to leave the place :).

We knew this was only a one star Hotel so we wasn’t expecting chocolates on our pillows and a sauna in the eu-suite. That said the hotel was perfectly comfortable, the staff very friendly and accommodating, the location is very central and the building itself is an old Art Deco masterpiece. Who needs bells and whistles. PS we had a great view of the castle from our room which looked amazing illuminated at night.

The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen and dining area has everything one needs. Check-in was easy as someone met us at the apartment and provided a good orientation. It is within walking distance of good restaurants and attractions. Leiria itself is well situated to enable sight seeing in surrounding communities.

We stayed here twice, the second time because we l liked everything the first time., and we were back in town a week later. The owner was super easy and friendly, (sorry about being late the first time, but we got lost). centrally situated, compact, but with a terrace to eat out on (no view), and more than enough space for two.
