Located between Mafra and Lisbon, Aldeia da Mata Pequena is a small rural village that was completely restored and transports visitors into the past in an untouched green landscape. Liked the house, the flowers outside, patio, ginginha, warm bread in the morning, snacks in fridge! Fresh apples! All the animals in the village! Tatiana is just a delight! Cats visiting everyday so sweet!

Mafra is a quiet little town with great historical value, complemented by the quality of the local bread, pastries and food in general. Another bonus is its location, very close to Lisbon, Sintra, as well as several great beaches, such as Ericeira.
Mafra is a very interesting city. If you are lucky you can enjoy a concert of 6 organs in the basilica of the Palacio Nacional de Mafra. Mafra can be reached by car from Lisboa airport or Belem in less than 45 minutes if there is no heavy traffic. It is possible to visit Batalha, Tomar, Cabo Carvoeiro and Opidos in a day trip from Mafra. Alternative daytrips are Belem, Lisboa or Sintra. Mafra has fine restaurants with delicious traditional Portuguese cuisine.
Everything was perfect. Very nice and helpful hosts. Beatiful climatic village with old houses and many old tools and fernitures. On the other hand you've got everything you want. Electricity, WiFi, well eqiupped kitchen, bathroom and everything you need. Also for breakfast, you've got fresh bread every morning at 9 a.m. hanging on your gate. Also nice place to go by car and visit Sintra, Mafra and quite close to Lisbon.
