This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. Of course, the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful with beautiful views of nature. The town of Monte Real is also very very charming. What really stands out though is the kindness of the entire staff. They were so helpful and considerate throughout our entire stay. I would also like to mention that the quality of the food in the restaurant was brilliant and such a great selection for both the dinner/breakfast buffet and the a-la-carte options.

The service in the breakfast was delightful, all the waiters were super friendly and everyday they did something special for my kid. The food at the breakfast doesn’t have to much variety but what was there was really delicious. I booked the hotel with half board and in the night the dinner was buffet. It was so much food and so delicious. Congrats to the chef that prepared the food. The rooms are really big and the bath was really relaxing.

Calm, safe and friendly small town.

Calm, safe and friendly small town. Services are mostly active Tue-Fri 8-13:00 and some open 09-19:00 mon-fri. Though there are some active restaurants, shops and cafés in the evenings until 21:00. There is a big Gym about 1 km from the center. There are some local food shops, though the closest supermarket chain is about 5 km from the town center.

It's a small town with a few things to see, but not much.

It's a small town with a few things to see, but not much. It's not a tourist town; it's more of a quiet place to spend time and use as a commuter town, which is what we did. The nicest things are its church and a hotel with thermal baths and a spa, which has a lovely facade. And across from the hotel and spa, there's a small garden with animals in cages. For dinner, we went to Café Central.

There's a takeaway right across the street and a pizzeria a little further to the right that can sort you out for a couple of dinners, but there's nothing else. There's a bakery, cafe, and bar nearby a few minutes' walk away, but they're unpleasant and not very clean. There's an airbase nearby, so the noise is something to be aware of. It's completely isolated.

Some nostalgia.

Some nostalgia. Thermal baths are sorely missed for revitalizing the region. Such a prolonged closure is unacceptable. The region is not the same without this health unit. There's a sense of stagnation in the services that are nevertheless surviving.

Absolutely loved the stay at the Monte Real hotel! Its the best family friendly hotel we’ve stayed at so far! They have an animal farm, baby play room, table tennis, playstation room, inflatable castle, activities for kids, besides the regular swimming pool and spa. The staff is very friendly and flexible! (we asked to checkout later since our toddler only starts his nap at 12pm) Great overall experience! Would love to come back sometime in the future!
